But that's the problem - you still have to pay full price for the XM sub to get baseball if you're a lifetime Sirius subscriber. Wasn't the merger supposed to help everyone? It seems to me it didn't help the lifetime Sirius subscriber who likes baseball at all.

Since it's one company now, it seems like adding an XM subscription to your Sirius account should get some kind of discount, like adding a second Sirius subscription would.

http://www.sirius.com/nba also says that the NBA is on XM.

Yeah that showed up on Monday when the Best Of stuff was put into play. I visited that page last week to see when Full Court Press would start and the page looked like no one touched it since the Finals...which is fine. How did XM steal the NBA away when XM was trying to merge with Sirius?? I might as well ax my BOF XM plan and use my XM radio to listen to games if it's like that. I didn't know XM had the rights. I was thinking Sirius was trying to nickle and dime the NBA fans.

If they did that I would cancel my second radio with Sirius and go out and buy a XM radio and add it in a heartbeat. I would add it for any price up to 7 bucks a month. A second radio for 7 bucks from XM if your a Sirius sub....where do I sign?

That may happen someday if they ever integrate the billing and CS systems.

And who said the merger was supposed to help everyone?

Well uhhh....at least we can say the merger is helping the majority so far since XM did/does have a slightly higher number of subscribers than Sirius. That's the best I can do.

The direct link to http://www.sirius.com/nba may have worked, but Sirius removed everything about the NBA from their main sports page at http://www.sirius.com/sports as soon as the finals were over since their agreement expired.

During the whole process, both companies were crowing about how it would help subscribers. Without a modifier on "subscribers," I believe "all" is implied. Maybe they were always careful to say it would benefit "many subscribers" or "most subscribers" or "the majority of subscribers," but the feeling I got is that they were saying it would help everyone.

And you believed them? It may help subs by ensuring satrad remains alive. Thats probably going to be about it.
