The block/category just allows them to all be virtualized in one place so you don't have to search for them. This is what the SL10/100 doesn't have.

I beg to differ - My SL100 has the Sports 2 block listed along with the channels.

On a different note - In WiFi the Grateful Dead channel is getting closer to channel 32 it's now channel 33 instead of 70 in WiFi.

Logo's someday for the "poor mans" Stilettos?

My SL10 has the sports2 block and the channels as well. However, they haved all said "program not available" so far. I guess we'll have to wait until they are actually used to see if they work...

Yes at first glimpse this morning in my rush to leave out I did not see Sports2, but maybe I over looked it.

However, this just makes their information that the SL10/100 would not get the Sports Block even more confusing, but then maybe I don't know what they mean by that. I thought they were talking about the Sports2 category making it easier to find all those preempted channels instead of having to look all over the dial.

My head is about to explode...Turned on my SL100 this am. Got another channel update and now Sports2 Block is gone along with the virtual channels. A new channel 00 is there with my ID ala XM channel 00. When will the madness end?

Channel 000 has always been in the Stiletto :-)

My SL100 got the update yesterday and it came with the sports block, like others have said. Of course, I tried tuning into it and no audio, so it's clear they still are not meant for the SL10 and 100.

However, this morning I tuned in and got another channel update, now the sports block is gone from my channel lineup.

So, it's clear that the radios are capable of receiving these channels, or else the first update would not have provided them.

So now they remove them? What kind of game are they playing.

I haven't turned my Stiletto 100 on today to get update #2, maybe it'll fix the situation I'm about to describe.

When I got the update yesterday, I had to manually tune to channel 27 to receive Hard Attack, my preset didn't work for it anymore despite it being on tghe same channel.
Same situation for Faction and Lithium.

After the manual tune, Hard Attack and Faction no longer had logos, but Lithium did.

And I can no longer receive Hard Attack or Faction on wifi.

Anyone else have this problem and know if the new updates fixes it?

DAB posted this in another thread but he believes why the SL100 can see them is they created them as real channels and not virtual ones. Virtual channels would show up only on demand and likely not on the SL100/SL10. Last night's updater corrected this.

As frustrating as this whole channel mapping update has become I do have faith that Sirius will get this all resolved soon. Whether it be an additional channel update or a zap it will happen. DAB has told us many times that XM can fix these channel logos and other things on the fly while SIrius appears to need to make some major undertakings to bear the same results. Let's just hope that post-merger Sirius will adopt XM's system for these types of situations.

Regardless of the fact that some receivers are missing different channel logos at least we still get our channels! If the channels disapeared then I would be upset. But for now I'm sitting here patiently waiting for everything to get back in place.

I do believe that Zing will eventually release a ZAP that will address the sat channel icons and voice tags as well as sorting out the wifi mapping.

Just be patient little grass hoppers! LOL

Oh.my.god... I turned my stiletto on for the first time this week today, and the channels updated... Tears are coming down my face... For the first time in over a year, Sirius Disorder matches up to the actual channel its on (Ch 33)...Its been Planet Jazz for so long that I just stopped noticing...

Finally, something that should have been so simple is right with the world... The stock price is in the toilet, but for the first time in a long while, I have hope...

My understanding is that Zing had nothing to do with this at all and it's up to Sirius to release an update to fix this issue. I was able to confirm this with both Zing and Sirius individually. You are correct though that the only way to fix this problem is via a firmware update. My understanding is that none has been shecduled yet but it's safe to assume we have to paitently wait until the engirneering team gets one together. Let's hope they take care of some other bugs as well like the Low Light Mode reset issue.

Zing doesn't make the decisions about when SIRIUS does a channel mapping update, but it is ZING that has to compile and distribute the ZAP update that will include the icons, voice tags and backgrounds.

It is also ZING that will have to relocate the wifi channels and give them new channel numbers and put them where they are suppose to be. This can be done on the fly as we have seen this happen in times past.

Also they need to address the Replay and Recording issues before the address issues like the low light mode and fm transmitter reverting back to on, but hopefully they will fix all this issues. I am not holding my breath though!

Not sure who your contact is and their position but he/she isn't be totally honest with you about their part in all this. SIRIUS has to approve what ZING does, but ZING does the actual work and distribution, which is what ZING is contracted to do for SIRIUS.

I also don't believe that they aren't working on a release, but what I do believe is that there isn't one pending anytime soon, but probably when they do the channel icons, voice tags and backgrounds will be included. I would suggest they deal with the replay and recording issues first and if they can address the low light/fm tranmitter reverting back to on issues if time permits. It would be great if they did them all, but in the grand scheme of things that low light issue is minor. Right now many of us can't get above 60% and then we lose our replays. This is not acceptable.

Lightbulb Good Info

Thanks DAB. I'm absolutely certain that they're working on a few fixes right now. I know the low light mode is on the list of reported bugs but obviously it's a low priority fix in comparison to memory related problems. I'm ok if the low light mode isn't fixed in the next update. It' caused me problems only maybe a half dozen times since December - that's pretty much once a month.

I really don't care about the logo problems. As long as I get the channels and the titles are correct I'm good to navigate my device. What I do know is that if a lot of subscribers find it to be a major problem (as they have in the past) they need to write CS. If people don't tell the company what they want how do they expect it to get fixed?

To contact Sirius CS you can always do so here: http://www.sirius.com/customercare
