Default New SL2 Update Now Avaialble: ZAP:2.0.4.64538r OS: 20354429 (8/13/08)

I just got a new ZAP today. Version 2.0.4.64538r

Can anyone tell me what it does? I noticed a new logo on ESPN All-Access. But, I thought you couldn't download new logos through the online program...hmmm.. If this was the case, why did they wait way too long for the Lithium logo, which apparently had to be downloaded through the satellite?

Anyway, can anyone tell me what this new ZAP does?

They haven't yet posted the technical bulletin. It may just be a logo update. Does channel 12 now have a "Bridge" logo?

That appears to be at least part of what the update did.

Channel 12 is now The Bridge in Internet Radio, but still "SIRIUS 12" in Satellite Radio.

However, it looks like ESPN All-Access has a new logo in both Internet and Satellite radio, but I need confirmation on this.

Does Sports Express have a new logo as well??

Hopefully it'll fix the problem I have at the one WiFi location. For the past few days, it gets stuck at "Checking WiFi_Name" and gives up. On Monday, and all points prior, it was fine.

I've had this problem as well. It has always gone away on it own though (perhaps after a shutdown).

The Bridge has always had the correct name and logo through Wifi. Those changes are made by Zing and happen without a ZAP update.

I just connected my SL2 to MSS...no update available.

Are you referring to a SL100 or SL2?

I connected my SL2 to "Internet Radio" and got the update, too. So, it seems it is available through wifi only, for the moment.

I'm talking about the SL2.

I was always under the assumption that ZAP was "Zing Application Protocol", therefore ZAP version = Zing version, and that OS = "Operating System" which was updated through the satellite, but apparently not.

I did notice that this update did not affect the OS version, so apparently the above theory is partially true?

Sirius.com had the following to offer:

http://69.10.45.153/product/Product_..._dot_04_v9.pdf

I hadn't noticed anything talking about it on the backstage.

They mention 2.0.4 ZAP, baseband update, and logos. There is no mention of memory problem corrections.

Interesting. I've had my radio connected to satellite since then twice for about 30 minutes each, but I still see this:

Sirius: 2.0.4.60881

OS
Me: 2.0.3.54429
Sirius: 2.0.4.64538

Baseband
Me: 00.14.94
Sirius: 14.94

Bootloader

Thumbs up Kudos to Zing/Sirius

This is the first update that I have received on my Stiletto 2 that has not erased my scheduled recordings or my presets. I want to thank Zing/Sirius for getting the update delivery system right this time around and it makes me very optimistic that future updates will go just as well!

I updated my SL2 by tuning to Internet Radio.
It took about 20 minutes before the download started. Once complete I was given a prompt to restart my device. All is working perfectly.

Here is what your device should show:

Kryptonite: Your device is fully updated. The bootloader varies on each model - don't sweat it.

Default Updated by MSS

I updated using My Sirius Studio. It offered the update as soon as I finished connecting. No problems downloading or installing. All presets, recordings, MP3s were just fine.

If you are short of presets I can give you my extra A-1.
