Me_Rubin,
Thanks.. I was leaning that way anyway but it's always good to ask someone who knows!! I do have a WiFi setup for the house, so that would definately be a bonus as far as reception goes. Thanks again!!

I finally took the plung and stepped into my big boy pants... I just picked up an S100 this morning (actually, I bought it this morning online with the p/u at store option but got too excited and had to close down the shop so I could get it now, aint being a guy great!?!?!).

I've read the FAQ's, read the manuals, even tried to search here but can't find it. Is there an artist alert? Does that automatically happen when you "love" (he he) a song?

All I have been able to get it that "loving" (he he) a song allows you to find out more about that person later through MSS. Have I just not had it long enough to see how this really works?

For only really having it for a few hours I can tell you now, it aint going back!! I love this thing!! I think I'm about to start calling all of my old friends, just to tell them how cool this is, anyone else had that urge?

Unfortunately the SL100 does not have the artist/song seek feature. You get the ability to "LOVE" uh record songs, but only up to 10 hours worth.

I'm not sure, check the S50 forum it might tell you. The S100, however, doesn't. If you switch to a channel and try to record a song in the middle, you get that portion of the song. I have noticed, though, that if you switch and are near the beginning of a song sometimes you end up with the whole song.

First, I admit upfront I haven't read the users manual. I walked into Circuit City today and noticed that the Stilleto 10 was reduced to $150. They had a Stiellto 100 also that cost about $300..the salesperson told me the only difference is the # of hours each records and stores. I have a sportster 4 that I listen to in the car and its great, but inside it's terrible. I have a starmate that i use inside but it hardly gets any reception...i tried all sorts of tricky stuff to get reception inside but no luck...so Im going to cancel the starmate. But when I saw the stiello today I thought "Wow, maybe a walkman type sirius will do the trick indoors." But the salesperson told me that the Stileto only receives a signal outside. He said if I used it inside it wont work unless if Im sitting next to a window and even then, he said its doubtful I would get a signal. Is the salesperson right that the stilleto only gets a signal outside? Also, I asked 3 salespeople this question and none of them could answer it for me. How do you charge the batter on the stilleto? One said you just plug it into the wall, another said you have to charge it through the computer and one actually said "buy the car adapter and while you are playing it in the car, it'll charge." Stupid answer. Anyway, since you guys here at siriusbackstage actually know what you're talking about...can you tell me how to charge the battery? Also, all I am really lookiing for is a walkman type of sirius...one that I can take with me on a bus, to a park, an office, etc... Would the stilleto be good for that type of stuff or would it just be a dissapointment? I'm asking because the salespeople really didnt have any answers and I think my question requires more of a "common sense" answer than an answer from a manual...all i really want to know is, can i use it as a walkman wherever I go? Thanks.

If by "walkman" you mean playback loaded or recorded content, then yes.

If you want "live" content-
And you have a wifi internet connection that meets the S100 requirements, then yes.(you cannot record from wifi)
Or if you live near a terrestrial land based repeater, then yes.

If you want to actually receive "live" content via satellite inside your home or car, with no repeater nearby, you will need a home kit with antenna mounted outside and pointed in the direction of the satellite's orbital path.

Is it OK to use the S-50 car dock power cord with the Stilleto?

The Stiletto can use the S50 car dock power cord. Both step down the 12V DC Volts to the required 5V.

Is there a link to the Stilletto 2 procedure or is it the same as the SL100? I fear I may need to do it for my SL2.

This is just a massive conspiracy to get rid of my loved songs. I blame the RIAA.
