Default Need confirmation that Stilletto will record BBC Radio 1

Can someone (or several people) confirm for 100% sure that the Stilletto will record content from "BBC Radio 1" (channel 11)? I, along with several others, have been frustrated lately because the S50 will no longer record content from this channel. (It has something to do with the S50 not recognizing the new title/artist info they added about a month ago).

Someone earlier said, that the new Stilletto didn't have this problem and that it "would" record BBC Radio 1. If this is the case, then I will probably be scrapping my S50 and buying a Stilletto soon. But I want to make absolutely sure that it WILL indeed record BBC Radio 1. This is the main channel that I record, and the main reason I bought the S50 in the first place.

If someone could schedule some recordings at various times on Radio 1 and let me know if they show up and play back properly on the Stilletto, I would be very grateful. Or if anyone else who has a Stilletto already records BBC Radio 1 regularly could let me know, that would be great. Thanks in advance. It sounds like a good unit, and I think I want one, but after horrendous problems that keep mounting with the S50 unit (which I pre-ordered last year when they came out), I'm wanting to make sure about the Stilletto before I get "burned" again. I'm hoping the Stilletto has the bugs worked out. But as far as the S50 goes, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Thanks in advance for any help on whether the Stilletto will definately record BBC Radio 1 or not.

confirmed: YES the stiletto does record BBC Radio1_channel 11

10:00 am here on the west coast...

i just loved a song, and scheduled a recording as well, so you're good to go

when the s50 came out, i pondered over purchasing one, but a lot of threads said it somewhat buggie and it wasn't a true portable, so i waited.
i'm glad i waited.
as far as i know the s50 and the stiletto were made by different manufacturers, which could explain their differences in stability. if you are gagdet savvy you'll enjoy this receiver. however, if you are looking for a unit that you can mainly as portable player, you may be disappointed.(dropouts, unconfortable antenna headphones, 4 hour big battery life) are part of the portable experience.... to me, i did want a portable unit but i only pictured it as icing on the cake.

the stiletto ROCKS!!!!!!!

it is pricey, but that's what my friends said when i go one of the first 40gb ipods like five years ago.

when the home kits come out, is when we will all really have fun

by the way , BBC Radio is great channel, siriusly

Seems able to record every channel. Haven't noticed any problems.

Thanks. I had heard that the problem with recording Radio 1 had been corrected with the Stilletto, but I wanted to make sure before I bought one. I've usually been an early adopter and upgraded quickly, but after doing so with the S50 (and all of the bugs it has had), I wanted to be a bit more patient before getting a Stilletto. So far though, it sounds like most of the bugs have been taken care of this time. Most reviews and reports are very positive and there seems to be very few bugs or malfunctions. Thats great news (and certainly wasn't the case when the S50 first came out).

I think I will be picking one up soon. I already have 3 subscriptions, so I think I'll probably just ditch my S50 and transfer it's subscription to a new Stilletto. I use the S50 mainly to record content to listen to at work each evening, so the live reception really isn't that big of a deal to me anyway (but the live reception and wifi will be great added bonuses.). I'm just hoping they release the home and car kits soon now. I'll definately want the home kit and possibly the car kit in the future.

Once again, thanks for the confirmation on recording BBC Radio 1.
