Question Satellite Mode Staying On When Switching To Wifi

Has anyone noticed that when you switched from Satellite Mode to Internet (Wifi mode) that the Satellite mode doesn't shut down. I've had this happen several times now and even though I am listening in Wifi mode my battery goes down quickly, because it is powering both the Sat mode and Wifi Mode at the same time.

Is there anyone else that has noticed this or experienced this? Like I've said it has happened to me several times with the latest being this morning. Basically get out of my company van listening to live sat. Come inside the office, but it in wifi mode, but the sat mode actually doesn't turn off, so now my battery has drained as if I was listening to sat live. The only work around to this is for me to do a hard shut down and then start it in Wifi mode without going to sat mode first.

The same thing happens to me. I hope they will fix this in a software update in the future.

They are. I already complained to ZING about this and their result was that they're working on this issue.

This is the same thing being said about adding 128kb streaming and the additional on-line channels to the Stiletto. But the fact is that ZING is doing a great job trying to address issues, but the hold up is the bureaucracy within SIRIUS. There was an update ready since last week, but SIRIUS has not signed off on it. This specific issue was not address in that update.

Clearly this one is a big one though that hopefully they will address it promptly!

In theory, could you record the sat feed and listed to the wi-fi (probably in the doc because of the battery issue?

I don't think so, because it disables certain functions once you switch to Wifi Mode, but simple does not turn off the SIRIUS Sat Chipset, so it continues to draw power from the battery. But I've not really tried it, that is just my theory on it.
