If it is like the S50 version and the Monster Leather Case then it will not have a plastic sheet to cover the display. I already placed my order for both the Overlays and Leather Case. No point in taking any chances on scratching the display. I will only use my Leather case when I am on the Go, so I need the display protection at other times as well. I don't particularly like running my tuner on docks with cases on them. These tuners do get pretty darn warm and I always found the leather case on the S50 always made it even warmer. So when listening live on a dock, I won't be using the leather case, but that is me.

Thanks DAB,

I went ahead and called TSS. They were not sure whether or not it had a screen protector and were not sure whether the steletto protecive overlay would fit with it. I I went ahead and added it to my order and I could return it if it does not work. Like you said no point in taking any chances... I guess we will know for sure later in the week.

I found a way to make the speak case work on a car dock. Just takes a little cutting of the case. Can’t believe they made a case that wouldn’t dock without modifying it

Nope, not harsh at all. In fact, it even says on the Brasso can that it's suitable for use in polishing and removing scratches from acrylic plastics such as on watch crystals, iPods, and Stilettos. In fact, I use it to remove scratches from a $1800 Omega Speedmaster watch regularly without any problems.

Just got my home dock and have my stiletto in the speck rubberized case. unfortunately no go with the case on in terms of docking. The case just hangs down too low and you have to scoot it up-kind of a pain b/c getting the case in the right position is not a piece of cake. Have the s50 with the same set up and the rubber case does work well with that home dock. Bummer!! I do really like the case though, jogging with it is fine and it really protects.

Wow! Good to hear that Brasso has already listed the Stiletto AND Omega's with acrylic crystals on their cans. Thanks for the tip. If I run out of Novis or am away from the house, I'll keep the Brasso in mind.

I did put a screen protector from Palm Pilot on my Stiletto after I made the last post. With the black background behind the acrylic, you almost can't even tell it's there. I tried a quick test and it peels off very cleanly if needed as well. At $10 a dozen it's a deal. At least it will get you by till the others hit the stores.

Just to clarify - it doesn't say "OK for use on Stilettos" on the Brasso can. However, it does say it's suitable for use on plastic watch crystals, and even big Swiss watch companies like Omega have informally approved Brasso for use on their Hesalite (acrylic) crystals.

From personal experience using Brasso on iPods, GPS units, and soon on my Stiletto, I'm willing to say it's perfectly safe to use. Just don't get any in the holes of the device.

I never trusted using that thing with that little snap in plastic shield for the display. I was always paranoid that would scratch my display. I only used it after I got my Invisible Shield for my S50.

Overlay with Leather Case.. that is what I am shooting for. Sorry Mikey, the first Leather caes has DAB's name all over it! LOL Overlays are suppose to be in at the end of this week via TSS.
I too like the Speck rubber case on my S50, and am disappointed that a similar case won't work on the Stiletto (when I eventually upgrade to one) docks.

As for the snap in plastic shield, I too worried it would cause scratches. But after removing the case and shield a number of times for those infernal battery pull resets, there is nary a scratch. You do have to be careful to always keep the rubber edged side of the shield against the receiver, however.

It looks like next week we will have some reviews of the leather cases.
TSS shipped mine on Friday due to arrive on Tuesday.
Thanks Tayor for getting them out quickly.

They did ship me the Case and the Protective Overlay.
From the packaging and instuctions it looks like the overlay should fit under the case.
Two Overlays come shipped in a package. I'm concerned because they say it uses Adhesive to hold it in place. Adhesive tends to yellow over time and may not remove should I want to. I've posted the new picture from TSS and a link to the instructions.

I will be ordering the protective overlay for the stiletto. I have the Portable Use kit but it won't fit in the dock with the case on so the Overlay is a no must have.
