Default Unit Crashing During Overnight Recording w/ Home Dock

I have been reading and some people have the same issue, I was wondering if there is a solution?

I basically set up my unit to record 6 blocks (recording while using Home Dock), from:

1AM-2AM
2AM-3AM
3AM-4AM
4AM-5AM
5AM-6AM
6AM-7AM

Got up this morning, it recorded the first 3 and the last 2, and my unit was dead--couldn't be turned on without removing the battery (pain in the a$$ considering I have it in the speck rugged skin).

Is this an overheating issue? Should I make 15 minute gaps inbetween recordings?

I read that sometimes if it doesnt get a signal it shuts off, which could be the case, but I have the antenna on a great location (3 bars) on my roof.

Any insight?

Default That lack-of-signal shut-off may be the reason

I recorded content with a minidisc before I had my Stilletto, you'd expect one continuous recording, but typically my recordings are broken up into many tracks, since the Minidisc will end and start new tracks when breaks occur in the data (audio) stream it's receiving.

Thumbs up

You could give this a try
I had a similar problem with my PVR, unrelated

But try setting 2 minutes between the recordings
EX.
so you had
1AM-2AM
2AM-3AM
3AM-4AM
4AM-5AM
5AM-6AM
6AM-7AM

Try this
1AM-1:59
2:01-2:59
3:01-3:59
and so on

Just an idea
