Default Gym's offering WiFi

Anyone know of any gym's that offer WiFi. I tried taking my Stil-Toe to Gold's Gym in Altamonte Springs, FL (Outisde of Orlando) and they had a password of course. Just curious to see if anyone else had luck.

I asked my local gym as well. I have the same situation. This system you speak of is closed to the public. If they were to give you the password it would theaten there system security. They need to install a seperate public wifi system for the customers to use. Usually this type of system is free for the people to use. My health club shows interest in installing a public wifi, but are not offering me any timeline of installation. I would suggest you, and your other freinds that attend the club. Talk to the management. Tell them you would like to see them offer public wifi. Tell them about the 100. Luckily the 100 has a music library. So when I get my 100. I can listen live as I walk to the gym, and then switch over to my music library. In time hopefully my gym will install public wifi. I don't have the 100 yet, but intend to get one by the first of the new year. Trying to let the storm blow over a bit first.

Yes, there are a couple of fitness centers in my area and both have Wifi. One charges extra for it if you want to use it, they will provide you the password. The other one is part of your monthly fee and they too have a password, which changes every month. I was able to log in at one of them, but didn't have the password for the other. I have recently encountered a couple of locations where the Stiletto wouldn't log in, so assume it was not compatible with their wifi setup.

So How do you think the sound quality in wifi compares to the live signal ? Assuming the live signal is good. Does one sound better than the other ?

Just traded my S50 in today for the S100. I noticed a world of difference in sound quality between the two units. As far as the difference between WiFi and Sat, i couldn't tell a difference.

I would say the 32kb wifi stream doesn't sound quite as good as the "LIVE" sat, but I am happy enough with both of them that I truly have zero complaints.

I am hoping that at some point they will make the 128kb wifi streaming available to the Stiletto. Then I think there will be no comparison.

If they will do this and then add those additional channels currently available via the SIR online service, I think the Wifi will be a GREAT add on feature made better.

There IS a comparable difference between the three "32kbps WiFi stream", "79kbps Satellite Stream" and "129kbps WiFi stream". I hope the next firmware update enables us to use the 129kbps instead of 32kbps.

Seeing as how I used to be (note: used to be) in incredible shape (5% bodyfat!!!) and now I'm bordering on fat, I need to get back in the gym. If the gym I choose DOES NOT have Wi-fi, then I will seriously consider buying them a cheap router. This is keep me going and also keep me motivated to use my stiletto.

Of course, for about 150 straight days now I was supposed to wake up at 5.30 and go to the gym before work and I have failed, every single time.

I'm pathetic.

Golds Gym in LaGrangeville, NY has an open WiFi.

Now, if they only update the WiFi channels with NFL Radio ..........
