Default Question about Sirius Favorites

Let me see if I understand this right. I loved a few songs that went into my favorites. When I connected to Yahoo, it shows the songs in my favorites and allows me to purchase this song.

I guess what I'm saying is, if I sign up for Yahoo music service, I could easily just download ANY song I want from them. At this point, there's no reason for my to add the song to my favorites. If you sign up for any of their plans, you can transfer ANY song from there service you want correct? It seems pointless to listen to the music channels on a regular basis now on Sirius when I can just go to yahoo and get any song I want whenever I want it and not wait for Sirius to play it.

The point of the S50 was LOVING songs without buying a CD. The Stiletto makes you sign up for the service to get PRE-RECORDED songs. But why would anyone PRE-RECORD songs anymore when you can just get any song you want my paying for the Yahoo service. Do I have this right?

So now the only FREE songs you will get from Sirius is the songs that you LOVE live correct?

I subscribe to the Yahoo Music To Go service. And while they do have lots of songs avaialbe, they don't have them all. There are songs that you will hear on Sirius that aren't available on YMJ. Another thing to consider is that YMJ is not portable while the Stiletto is. So you can import a song from YMJ to the Stiletto and listen to it on a bus or anywhere else you like.

I can tell you that I am glad that I bought the Stiletto even though I subscribe to the Yahoo service. I use YMJ for downloading and importing songs and the Stiletto for listening to them.

But to each his own. You'll have to decide for yourself if it will be worth it for you.

Thanks for the great reply. I agree with you about everything you said. I got Sirius for Stern, but love the entire service. After having the S50, it was obviously much more easier to get songs from the pre-recorded content. After getting the yahoo service myself, it just seems like it is much easier to get music I want now instead of waiting to hear it on Sirius. I love the Stiletto overall.
