Default Executive, Boombox, Soloist??

Anyone with opinion regarding the various docking devices for the Stiletto? Any reviews or comparisons? Have the s50 with the executive which is fairly nice and may do the same for the stiletto, but the boombox sounds like a nice alternative.

From what I have read and the conversations I've had with various individuals. It is my opinion that the boombox will probaby offer the best sound for the Stiletto. The Soloist has really nice sound as well, the equalizer settings and dynamic bass boost really gives it crisp, rich sound. I think the one that will provide the least sound quality would be the Executive System. I got one for my S50, but was so disappointed with the SQ that I sold it immediately here on the forum.

Love my Soloist and look forward to getting the boombox for going on outtings and such.

I would consider the boombox but 8 D batteries is a bit much and man, that thing will drain those down in no time.

To bad it didn't operate on a chargeable battery or something. 8 D batteries will make for a heavy unit.

you couldnt be more wrong about the 8D batteries.
i have a boombox for the starmate replay that uses the 8D batteries.

the batteries i use are super light.

yes they are rechargeables which are more expensive to use to initially start up but they are well worth it in the long run if you will use the boombox alot.

if you are near a outlet you can just use normal power.
you dont have to use battery power all the time.

I hope to have the new boombox someday soon. It's been on order since I first could order it from TSS.

How long do you think those 8 D batteries will last?

Do they also charge up the radio as well or will the limitation be the radio's rechargable battery?

I'm thinking next year for the beach or pool. It would be nice to have it last the day.

Default Stiletto stuff

I have the Soloist and I really like it. It is a very unique item--very light and thin and pretty small overall. I'm looking forward to getting the boombox whenever it is available. Looks like it may be end of November or December before it is ready for shipping.

Does the Boombox for the Stiletto have a remote? I am on the fence between the Boombox and the Executive System for docking the Stiletto. I want something more than just the basic home dock that is already available for purchasing.

Default Stiletto remote

I hope it will. The remote that came with the Stiletto is near worthless.

I Emailed TSS and was informed that the boombox would come with a remote.

TSS response:

Dear Mark,

It will come with a Remote. The Stiletto Executive System will come with
a remote as well.

Take Care,

My Stiletto didn't come with a remote. I only got remotes with the home and car kits and they are a heck of a lot better than the one that came with the Soloist.

I only got a remote with my car dock. I don't use it but it looks nice. I never use the remote in the car. I mount my stiletto down low on the driver side so I never have to worry about reaching to change the channel or using the remote. I still have a couple old S50 remotes somewhere.
