Cool mount the Stiletto on Linux?

I was wondering if anyone was able to mount the stiletto on linux yet. I have tried wine but the installer checks for the OS version and errors out. I was able to use my virtual machine of Windows XP to connect to the device but now am getting the good old blue screen of death. When I plug in the stiletto and run dmesg I get:

usb 5-4: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3
usb 5-4: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice

And nothing happens after that...

Brian

I don't think so.

I believe BootsC5 or was it realwx who connected their Unix box to be able to send streams to the Stiletto via wifi. Something about spoofing that's all I remember.

Maybe one of them will chime in here.

It was BootsC5 that posted all of the Linux stuff, I recommend PMing him asking this question as I haven't used Linux in a long time and still getting used to it...

I have not attempted to mount the SL via Linux. I'll add that to my list of things to try.

This is my "list":

1) Update the list of content servers for WiFi. The "track info" update just sends the SL to different akastream.net servers.

2) Intercept and see what the conversation is between the SL and Zing.net. This is where I think it gets the channel #->server name for item #1

3) "Automate" #1.

4) Try to mount the SL. Hopefully it works as a normal block device.

5) Get some of the smaller features coded on My Sirius Streaming Server.

I'll do #4 tonight after Heroes.

I'd be interested in reading that as well. Do you have a link to the post or know which thread its in?

It is not a normal usb drive interface per this thread.

I'm attempting to get Amarok with libmtp support installed now, but there was an issue with my kdelibs and Qt version, so I am rebuilding them.

After running lusb -v, I found the configuration type:
iConfiguration 35 MTP Transfer
I will also try libmtb and amarok and see what happens. I will try gphoto next.

thanks

umm, well
we need to figure out what program can communicate with it
and possibly
it may even need a special driver
and from what i just checked
nothing known available yet
i would say your best bet is amarok

no one does yet, though it seems gphoto2 has support for reading from some MTP devices. not sure about amarok
