Default Just got my directed leather case! (pics inside)

well i woke up this morning to the pleasent surprise of my new case arriving here are a few pics thanks tss for the fast delivery.(sorry for the blurry pics in bit of a rush to put my overlay on.

The warning states that you should not listen to (sat) and charge the stiletto while it is in the case because it can cause damage to the batteries the speck case didn't have any type of warning which worry's me a little about the speck case.

How easy is it to remove the case? How much trouble was it to put on the protector?

You're not supposed to use it or charge it when it is in the case? Then what good is it? Is it just a case to use for storage? that is weak.

I am intersted in getting the overlays.

I like the case but I'm not a big fan of velcro when it's going to be used a lot. Velcro generally fails after a certain number of uses and docking and undocking all the time seems like it would cause it to fail rather quickly(under a year).

I would prefer either a regular button(like my Treo case) or the magnetic connectors like some purses have.

I hate those farking belt clips. They suck, period. I use the armband or just put the thing in my pocket. The belt clip sticks out way too far.

This is the very reason I ordered the case and the overlays. Because I don't see myself charging and listening to my Stiletto with it in a case while it is on the car dock, home dock or Soloist. The darn thing just gets too warn to leave the case on it. I think that is true of the Speck case too, it is just they didn't have enough sense to include the warning.

I found the exact same thing was true of my S50. It would get twice as warm with it in the leather or speck case when in use and charging.

In my mind the whole purpose of the case is when you want to use it as a portable and take it on the go, this gives is the added protection from dropping etc.

I guess everyone sort of look at this differently! I can also understand folks finding it a royal pain in the butt to have to always remove the case when docking.

Removing the case is not a problem you just undo the velcro at the bottom and i use my finger to slide it down through the wifi antenna hole at the top, the inside of the case is suede like material so no danger of scratching but i do recommend the overlays. The overlays are simple to use all you have to do is make sure that when you place it you place it not to high up above the sirius logo because the the bottom will come out short and you will have to do it over.

Oh im sorry i made a mistake when i was typing what i meant to say was that you can't listen to (sat) radio and charge it at the same time because the heat that gets produced will cause damage to the batteries. It's safe if you are doing only one of the previous things at any given time.

Very Nice! I like it... thanks for the pictures. I figured if it was like the S50 version that it would be very easy to get in and out of the case.

I think it is mainly when charging that the tuner get so warn, which is why they don't recommend it being used on the dock, but the real deal is that it wouldn't fit on a dock anyway with the way it is designed.

I do this exact same thing with my iPod, not because of heat, but because I can't dock my iPod on my Soloist or standard docking base while its the case it on it. The S50 did fit in the home and car dock with the Leather case on though, but two totally different designs in docks.

So the Overlays cover the whole front of the unit or just the display itself?

I also dislike the velcro but as long as it is sturdy I'll be happy.

I keep reading how all of your stiletto's get so warm when in use but I have NEVER experienced this. I've listened for quite sometime in Sat mode and it has never gotten anywhere even near WARM. Plus, now that I have the car kit, it sits in there for hours on end while on and there is no warmth. I mean it is not anywhere hotter than room temperature.
