Default Missing channels on Wi-Fi

Does anyone know why certain channels are available on the online player, but not available on the Stiletto's internet radio?

Some examples are Raw Dog, Playboy, and Maxim

I paid for premiere service thinking I would be able to get better quality Wi-Fi just to find out that you cant, and now I see that I also dont get these channels using Wi-Fi on the Stiletto. If anyone knows the answer why those channels are missing please let me know, becasue SIRIUS customer service said they werent even aware that those channels were not available using Wi-Fi on the Stiletto.

Thanks.

From what I've read, both the ability to listen to the channels recently added to the online player (like Playboy and Maxim) AND the ability for your Stiletto to pick up the Premium stream are coming in a future update.

(I don't have a Stiletto yet, but I want one REAL bad)

Why they are missing is a question that I and many others have been asking since the Stiletto was released. We also asked about the 128kb streaming for the Stiletto. I was told that currently those channels are not on the Zing server, but that they are working on it. The 128kb streaming is a big more technical because of the possibility of the tuner constantly rebuffering. So there has to be a way to manage this. Someone suggested that they add a method of setting the low or high bitrate in the connection setup. So that if you are using it where you have lower throughput, you could just select the lower bitrate, otherwise you'll get the constant rebuffering problem.

I suspect that Zing wants to make all these things happen, the problem will be SIRIUS dragging their feet to approve it.

Dab,

Is this true for channel 43; BackSpin? Everytime I try to access this channel via WiFi, I get Channel Unavailable, Server Error. I'll try the other channels mentioned to see if the same message aappears. Can another Backstager try channel 43 in WiFi and report your findings?

Thanks,

Speedy3

No, I get the same error you do. I will report this issue right now via my contact with Zing. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
