Default Car Dock Remote

I finally got my car dock in and installed it today. However, I noticed that the remote doesn't work. Was the battery for this lying around somewhere in the packaging? Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, the battery (disk type) is found in a small plastic bag in the packaging.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know what type of battery it is? Either way you look at it I don't have it and I'll have to go out and get one.

Thanks again.

The markings on the battery are "Panasonic CR2032". I hope this works out for you.

A very common battery. Should be able to find it any where.

the battery does come in the packaging and it is a little disc battery. It comes in a bag seperate from the remote which made no sense. I almost threw it away without realizing it so you may have done the same thing.

Oh come on.... I would think most of us go through these kits with a fine tooth comb to see what all comes with it. I also keep the boxes for at least 30 days in case I have to return it. I don't throw anything away that came in that box including the plastic ties and bags the everything is wrapped in. Perhaps I am unigue in doing this, but I wouldn't think so.

Dab:

In my sheer joy of received my car dock, I shredded through it like a 5 year old on Christmas morning. I got so excited that I ripped through it and in my joy, I blacked out. When I woke up, the car dock was installed but the bad news is that my head hurt and for some reason I only had one shoe on and no shirt. No clue. No clue.

Funny. . . same thing happened to me. . . . there must be some toxin in the package. Sad thing for me is that I was at the office when it happened. . . .
I almost forgot to search for the battery myself in my rush to get out to the parking garage to install it.

I'm thinking that if they had set "A Christmas Story" in 2006 that Ralphie would would have been asking for a "SIRIUS SL100 Stiletto satellite radio with 100 hours of recorded music, wi-fi reception, and a home dock!"

ROTFLOL... you nut...

But you know I was thinking it is possible they didn't put the battery in the package.... Because I got two regular batteries and no slim battery in my package... DAB isn't complaining! Though I know there are folks that like the slim battery because it makes the unit smaller. I don't really care about that. I want longer battery life. I guess maybe I should feel bad about it, because it is possible that some poor soul ended up with 2 slim batteries.

I would trade my standard battery to anyone that wanted to get rid of their slim battery in a second. I love the slim battery and really makes the device lighter. I love the slim.
