Smile Small screen and the home dock

Well Ive had my home dock for about a week and its great. If anyone was following my previous listings about dumping my Stiletto because I had no reception in Texas, you will be happy to know that I have had 2 bars of uninterrupted service using the Home Dock antenna in my hotel room, and Im looking forward to getting back to NYC where I anticipate even better service.

I have discovered an annoying little feature which is that you cant read the screen when its in the dock. I like using the remote but I have to be within arms length to see what Im changing on the unit anyway as the text is so small. There is the large text of the preset feature, but thats only so helpful.

Do you think that they will eventually come out with a remote like the "Conductor" that will universally work with the receivers? Is there one already?maybe a software that would allow for you to see the screen of your Stiletto on the TV screen. Ive seen something like this for the IPOD.

Somebody give me some good news..

Maybe you can't read the screen because it goes dim in the dock. I have no problem reading the screen.

Can't you get a univeral remote and "learn" from the supplied remote?

If you are really close you can read the screen, yes.If your sitting on your couch and you want to surf channels, you cant see the screen from 10 feet away.

Im unsure of where your going with the universal remote question. Can you elaborate?
