Default Sirius Seek Feature

I saw this listed on some other units? I wonder why this was left out of the new stiletto? I think it would be a great feature. There seem to be a few similar sports centric features, but I dont use them. Is this something that could be part of a firmware upgrade, or is it not that great of a feature?

It's a great feature that they left out intentionally. Why they did this I'll never know. I guess maybe they think that LOVEing the song gives you the ability to play anytime so what does it matter to have song seek?

Song/Artist Seek is one of the reasons XM is being sued by the RIAA right now over the XM2GO tuners. So, in a concession to thwart being drawn into a law suit SIRIUS didn't include the song/artist seek feature. This only applies to tuners that have the ability to record. RIAA's stand is that having this feature allows a subscriber to basically build a library of songs and/or artist to easily.

Grrrrr.. Its understandable from an artists point of view I suppose, especially on a recordable device. It was a great idea for a feature. I remember the old days when you could record a song off the radio onto a cassette and none of this crap mattered. I think that it should be assumed that if you like an artist enough to seek them on your tuner that eventually you would buy their music. On the Stiletto, eventually the "loved" songs would be recorded over anyway..

Blah, blah, blah

I have heard in another post that the SL10 will have this feature...I will try and find the post.

Ok, found a post that mentions it:
http://www.siriusbackstage.com/forum...highlight=sl10

Also mentioned in the best-buy description:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1156203859973

Not sure why then the 100 doesn't have it, as they both have the same amount of "love" time, 10 hours, so hopefully this will be available in a future firmware update!

i believe the wifi capability of the 100 is the reason as well.

My understanding is that S10 will not allow you to "LOVE" songs period! So this is why it can have the song/artist seek.
