Default Woo Hoo!

It's a good day. The MSS is finally running, (= more flexibility) my update went without a hitch. 20 minutes via a usb cable and MSS.

The over zealous "Boom BOX!" voice tag has been replaced with a guy that is no longer hopped up on X.

All I need to hear now is that the executive leather case is on it's way to the stores!

And I'm guessing that with one more post, I'll no longer be a Channel Surfer!

Thanks DAB for the "Heads Up" I'm not sure what time it was posted. I did check about 1am and it was not posted yet. I did mine about 8am this morning when I saw your post.

So far, I have not seen any difference. It is still working well.
Just finished upgrading via MSS. Went easy and without a hitch also. I am curious though because although my ZAP and OS appear to be the same, my Baseband and Boot Loader are different than your picture (00.07.38 and 16645, respectively). Does this mean that there were further changes to the software or do these codes mean something totally different?

Did you restart the Stiletto?

Yes I did, after I got the message on the Stilletto saying that my software was updated.
I am seeing the new logos and channel names. So, I'm sure it was updated.

My baseband is at 00.07.38. Not 00.07.32. I wonder what that means? That was cool that right when I plugged the Stiletto in, it said an update was available. I didn't have to check it myself.

So will we ever find out exactly what was updated? Aside from the obvious wallpapers & voice tags, will we have to just discover for ourselves?

And does this seam like it could be a trial run / beta test for a bigger update to come in the following weeks / months?

I've had my Stiletto on in Wi-Fi for over 15 minutes and no update has started up on it. How long does it take before the update starts to download?

It should have picked it up right away. Can you log into MSS? It should grab that on connection.

It appears now that the update did indeed work.

My Stiletto updated via wi-fi last night--I wasn't even aware of it until I went to look what song was playing and the "update complete" message was showing. It's pretty cool that the update happened so seamlessly, but I hope we can find out what the update actually changed, other than the station logos/tags.

Just updated via MSS, took about 6-7 minutes. Perfect. Had me a bit nervous due to my past with my S50 updates. Brick / No Brick Russian Roulette comes to mind. Although my 4th S50 has been fine since last Feb, so I can't complain.

I noticed this morning something the update did - while scrolling through the list of channels in wi-fi mode I was hearing the channel's voice tag if I stopped on it.

Question

Does anyone know if this updated fixes the problem of the satellite chip staying on when it shouldn't be?
