Actually this update was only to give everyone the wallpaper, channel icons and voice tags, it seems.

I think we will find the next update will be moreso to address bugs, we can certainly hope so anyway!

what wallpaper, logos and voice tags were added specifically? Just curious. I only listen to Howard and 1st wave anyway.

Thumbs up Update completed successfully.

I already posted this in the recovery procedure sticky thread, but I will post it here as well. The recovery procedure does not download the latest ZAP or OS version. You'll have to download this separately afterwards if you ever have to use the recovery. Let's hope that never has to happen. But it is nice to know that it does work.

This really only poses a problem when you are running on battery power. I kind of like this "feature" when hooked to AC. Allows me to listen LIVE and when a commercial comes I can listen to recorded song. When song is over I can flip back to live satellite and positon myself properly in the buffer.

They can call this a bug but I think it's a nice feature.

I don't believe this is true. Were you connected to the internet when you did the recovery process?

Yes and considering that this is a portable unit, you hit the nail on the head... this is why it is a big problem and must be addressed.

I can confirm that the recovery loads the new .18248r ZAP. Just ran the recovery procedure on my Stiletto this morning and it got the latest update.

Apparently they had to update something so that it would install the newest version and now it seems they have.

If it's really a feature, then there should be an option to turn it off. In order to save the battery power and so that it can be safely used on an airplane. Perhaps an Airplane Mode that turns off the radio would be a good idea.

I feel if its a real feature it would be documented and highlighted. I think the way it is suppose to work is when you switch modes from Sat Radio to any other it is suppose to turn off the sat chip. The only exception to this rule would be if you are in the middle of a scheduled recording. However, I am not sure that you'll be able to switch modes when you are in the middle of a recording after the fix, but hopefully you will.

Default New And Confused

Hello,

I just received my Stiletto today. I have a question - I am a little confused about receiving a software update. Is there something I need to do, or will it happen automatically? I have a wifi network, if needed to do the update.

Thanks

Connect via Wifi and leave it connected for at least 20 to 30 minutes, you should get the message saying updates will take effect when you restart.

Smile

I have the Stiletto 10 and it doesn't have the WiFi feature. How can I get the update? Will it update through my PC using My Sirius Studio?

Thanks,
Scott

How about a review othe Stiletto 10! Maybe some pictures too!

I believe you are the first on this forum to report having one. And the answer to your question is yes use the MSS software and check for updates. I'm sure it will work the same for you as it did for us. But I'm not sure that you need any updates as the updates as I understand it were for the Wifi issues.

Congratulations on your new radio!
