why would you jump in on this anyway?

the thread was fine until he went out of his was to act childish.
The reason I jumped on this is the pure irony involved.

Again, I'm not piling on; I'm glad to hear you you're making an effort to treat fellow members with a bit more patience.

Childish? Me? Takes one to know one, obviously. All I did was point out the truth - that you're violating workplace policy - without any namecalling or dramatic flaming, so don't get all pissy because you can't handle people pointing that fact out. You were the one who started this. Who's being the child now?

I'm not the one going on a public forum bragging about how I'm subverting company policy. I'm just glad I don't work with someone like you in my company.

If you really want to make a statement, then print out this thread and show it to your superiors at your company, and see what they think. The bottom line is, you willfully violate your company's policy/regulations and then plead ignorance like a coward if/when you're caught - you're not even man enough to own up to your wrongdoings. Gee, how adult of you.

And finally: don't tell me where I can and can't post. You're not a moderator here and I will post in any thread I see fit. Or better yet, learn how to use the ignore function. If you don't want people pointing out how lame you are, then don't post about yourself acting lame. Simple as that.

If you already know the answer will be no, then why do you need it written down in some book? They don't want you doing something during work time, so don't do it. Simple.

So you're not breaking COMPANY RULES, but the answer will be NO. Whatever.

dont worry you wont have to work with anybody like me because i will never work in the gay porn industry like someone of your character.
I don't work in the gay porn industry. I work in IT for a large Fortune 500 company, if you must know. But even if I did work in an industry that caters to gay people, what's wrong with that? Are you a gay basher too?

i hate to say things like that and bring myself down to your level.
You mean UP to my level. You don't have to act ignorant, you ARE ignorant.

i would like to meet you face to face and see if you would call me a coward.
Oh please. Don't play Internet Tough Guy. I'll call you what you are - a coward. You are breaking company rules/policy willfully and won't even admit to it when you get caught. That is cowardice. Period.

i'm cool with this now, but if you keep this up and coming back with this, it's going to get personal.
More Internet Tough Guy persona again, I see. Seriously, am I supposed to be SCARED of you?

i've had anger management classes before and i would like to think i can keep my cool.
Anger management classes???!! HAHAHAHAHAHA! Figures!

i know i struggle with this from time to time, but right now you are pushing my buttons and you have almost set off my internal timebomb on you.
Go ahead, do your worst. Honestly, what's the worst you can do to me? Call me names like a child? Sit in the corner and shake your fist?

+10000000000 VERY well said!!!!!

I just sent the URL of this thread to the webmaster of InterActive Corp and asked him/her to forward it to the local IAC office in Cleveland, and to be on the lookout for someone listening to an iPod on company time

"i feel pretty safe looking at porn at work"
"i feel pretty safe downloading music illegally at work"
"i feel pretty safe sleeping on the job"
"i feel pretty safe playing with myself at work"

I have a feeling that even if his employee handbook said "no listening to iPods at work", he'd do it anyway...what a great employee

"they'll say no if i ask, but i don't know if it's allowed" <---huh??????

Heh...nice. Looks like he changed his tune REAL quick by editing all of his posts in this thread. Dude...you really are a coward.

For those of you just tuning in, sirius_cleveland basically was bragging about how he was able to jury-rig his iPod under his hat so he could listen to it at his workplace, despite the fact that it's not allowed. All I did was point this out, and he started talking trash. Apparently, after someone sent this thread to IAC (his workplace), he chickened out with his tough-guy act and erased his posts.
