Default Home dock

I should be receiving my home dock this Monday from Crutchfeild. To all of you home kit owners. Anything I should keep in mind when using it ?

About the only issue I can remember having is to make sure your extra battery (especially the slim one) is seated properly. For a second I thought I had a bad home dock because the blue charging light wasn't lit. I pulled it out and reseated it and that solved the issue.

BTW, why did they have to make thouse charging lights so bright and/or large? At night when my bedroom is completely dark it looks as if the mothership is coming in for a landing. I covered most of the lights with electrical tape so I could get some sleep.

Agreed! One strip of electrical tape did the trick for me too, just hope the battery is in and charging, that's tricky sometimes

I do one of two things so I don't have to sleep with the blue light blinking all night.

If I have a recording scheduled over night, I cover the Stiletto with a cut out tissue box. It's just big enough to cover the Stiletto and home dock.

If I have no recordings scheduled, I do a hard shut down of the Stiletto.

I wish they could have figured out a better way to see if the battery is charged without to resort to these measures.

I hear Kleenex now has a Sirius Radio edition box just for this purpose.

So no big issues with the home dock. Excellent. I can tolerate the mothership dock light. Cheers

Now there's a reason to choose Sirius instead of XM.

Better accessories.
