So I guess the lesson here is to take care docking yours Stiletto.

MM has this happened to you again?

I wonder if this has anything with the slim battery vs the standard one. On the car dock you have the sleeve which allows for a better fit for the slim battery for the car dock. I wonder if a sleeve for the home dock is necessary too.

MM - Did you have Slim or Std. battery when you got the sirius connect message?

I got this message when I was using the Standard Battery. However, I only got this message with my previous defective car dock that I sent back. I have never gotten it with my functionaly car dock. I use the slim battery.

Thoughts?

My Car dock did a similar thing today. I plugged it in to the dock and nothing powered on. I turned on the stiletto and it woke up from sleep mode but the car dock still did not light up. I unplugged the cigerette lighter plug and it then lit up. It was frozen then as when I pushed the preset button nothing happened. I recycled power again unplugging the plug and this time the "Updating Dock" message appeared. After it finished all was well again.

Maybe that wifi update did somthing? who knows.. I just know that things are working. Another thougth is that the dock sofware gets corrupted then it automatically knows this and does a download from stiletto.

I've gotten the same message numerous times, and once was right when my original Stiletto died. I unplugged and replugged the dock, the stilletto came back up, but then showed the screen of death and would not recover via PC.

I've had the same experience as you... it is almost always the slim battery, happens every 48 hours or so (when left on), and is fixed by removing the Stiletto, unplug/replug the dock, and reset the stiletto. So far, it hasn't killed my second stiletto.

I think this is just a sporadic bug, hopefully it will be addressed in an upcoming update.

Well, just had my first hit of this... Just bought the home dock yesterday and been listening fine for quite a few hours... Then I turned it off (without re-docking and causing crooked pin alignment) -- at 10pm it kicked on to record the Marky Ramone Show on Sirisu Disorder from 10pm -- Midnight... and 11pm it abruptly stopped and when I powered on, Im looking at this Sirius Connect freeze up... I took it out of the dock, popped the battery out and back in, and it went right back to Sirius Connect...

Not too impressed here with the home dock -- ruined my recording!

Jim, this hasn't happened to me since I mentioned it in this post.

Maybe it's just a fluke. I always put in sleep mode before I undock. I don't think it matters though. I just want to be careful with it.

Its been sitting in the dock for most of today (bought it yesterday) without problems -- It had a problem after recording a scheduled show exactly one hour after it started...

Tried to put it into sleep or off after this, but there was no response until i took the battery out...

The Sirius Connect is a home dock bug that has been reported. Hopefully it will be addressed soon in an update.

I hope so too... I mean i bought the home dock (in addition to the Soloist) specifically for its ability to turn on automatically and record...

At its first real test, it erroneously turned off after exactly an hour, thus ruining my recording session... Now I'm afraid to use it for my other recordings.. This is a hugely important bug to me...

If they can't get it working soon, then I don't need it.. And they didnt make returning it easy with their "have to chainsaw thru the plastic to open it" packaging..

I just got it a few minutes ago on the home dock. The dock unplug didn't work as usual, it was when I booted it up, Internet Radio, Library, etc. worked fine. When I went into a specific channel on Satellite Radio, it would freeze then go back to the main menu with the SIRIUS Connect image. I have an extra home dock and for some reason docking it into the extra then back into original worked.

I have the exact same issue with my home dock. I have had several identical incidents and I think a Home dock power reset is all that has been required so far. Yesterday I was in a hurry after a freeze up and pulled the Stiletto out of the Home Dock before attempting to reset the power on the Home dock. It functioned fine in the Car dock but when I returned home and replaced the Stiletto back in the Home dock it was still frozen. After a Home dock power reset it was fine again. My Car dock has never had a problem. Has to be a Home dock issue in my case.

mine got the Sirius connect screen this morning for the first time. I have scheduled recordings at 2am, 3am, and 6am. I took it out of the dock and took the battery out of the stiletto (slim battery was being used). I took the plug out of the home dock, and er-docked the stiletto. The remote doesn't work now. I can't use it at all. The power button on the remote is the only button that works. I don't understand why it works ok for a few weeks and then this comes up mysteriously????? I will try to reset the battery again and the dock, but it's sort of deader than a doornail right now. I have the receipt for CC for the home dock, but hoping Sirius will get this fixed soon. This is a coold evice but the bugs are really frustrating.
