Default Signal Repeater

I read several months back that Sirius was supposed to have a signal repeater on the market by Jun 2006. It didn't come out and I have heard nothing more. Does anyone know the status?

Was that a terrestrial signal repeater for the transmission or something for the home that you were referring to?

I called Sirius asking if there were plans for this type of product and got nowhere.

XM offers one, it works great. It's a device that downconverts the 2GHz satellite signal to 900MHz and rebroadcasts it. The only downside is you have to carry around a separate antenna attachment along with your receiver that picks up the rebroadcasted 900 MHz signal. I have one and use it with my MyFi.

Not many people have had luck getting the XM one to work with Sirius for some reason, so I choose not to try it myself.
