Default Soloist/Stiletto Recording Question - Next 45 mins!

Ok, its 9:15 on a Saturday Night... In 45 minutes, i want to set my Stiletto (hooked into a Soloist) to automatically record the Marky Ramone show on Channel 24..

I just got my satellite connection working (was on Internet radio), so I wasnt worrying about recording before... So I've got 45 minutes and counting to figure this out...

If I dont make it, i can just hit "record" at 10pm, but I kinda want to make it work right..

Sooooo, how do I do it? I will be reading the directions, but I know the directions wont show how to get the Stiletto to interact perfectly with the Soloist in terms of timers, etc -- so I'm hoping one of you are online and can get an answer to me in the next 1/2 hour...

Like i said, its not desparate and can hit record at 10pm or leave the Soloist on the entire time and set the Stilletto to record...

Thanx
-=J

Hopefully you figured it out as it is 10:25 now. But if you did not Here is my helpful hints...

Make sure you program the Music Timer to turn on prior to the Stiletto recording time. Make sure the Music timer is set to turn off after the recording is over.

Setting it up is a bitch, that is why I returned it. You first must make sure the soloist is off. Then press and hold the Timer button on the remote. Then once the start time is blinking press the + or Minus key found on the soloist until the correct hour is displayed. then you press the Timer button again control passes to the minutes where you press + - until the minute is displayed You continue with this going through time start, time end volume device etc. Read the manual a few times and you get the hang of it. The problem is you have to be quick or it goes back out of music timer mode, then you start all over again. Once programmed. you can press the timer button quickly and it goes through the sequence to see if it is correctly set up. Don't press it too long or it thinks you want to reset the timer again. It is really not user friendly at all.

My suggestion. If you really want to record something just turn on the soloist and leave it on.

I guess you can conclude I'm not a fan of it that's why I returned it.

thanx me_rubin -- I ended up just leaving the Soloist on, setting the Stiletto to record Ch 24 at 10pm for 2 hours and it seems to be recording...

I was looking thru the Soloist manual, and the whole Timer thing is a pain in the arse to set up... I know when I first got it, setting up the time of day, was not obvious at all... User-friendliness aside, i really like the Soloist's sound and usefullness with the Stiletto and my iPod...

So I'll just leave the Soloist on...

Thanx again!

Hmmm, just running into an issue with leaving the Soloist all the time on while timer-recording with the Stiletto...

I'm recording the Bill Kelly show on Underground Garage which is 11pm-3am and i want to go to bed!

I'm assuming if i mute the Soloist, it will continue recording with sound?

I think it will if you mute, it just won't if you use the sleep timer. That is one of the better features of using a real alarm clock with a sleep timer. the radio turns off but the Stiletto in the home dock continues to record. Also I just listen and radio replays add some content the whole night while I'm sleeping undisturbed.
