Default Home Dock and Logitech Harmony (880)

Hi - So I have the home dock and it's actually pretty good in my opinion...Of course - it's just another remote control in the house....was wondering has anyone used with the a Logitech Harmony remote? I'm not having too much success finding it or adding it via "learning"...anyone else use the home dock with a Harmony remote?

Thanks!

I have not tried to learn the remote with my main remote, but I do know that the dock remote will control my tv. What this means is that the signals it uses are similar to a tv remote, so you should be able to learn it.

I havn't hooked up my dock yet but I do intend to use my harmony (659 i believe). When I first got my sirius I did program my xtr1 without a problem. It was in the system already so learning didn't come into play. It could be that the Home Dock isn't in Harmony's system yet also. In the past I haven't had much success with "learning" remotes. I bought the harmony because of that. Well that and the fact that my parents got one so in order for me to help them use it I had to get one too.

I hadn't used their system in about a year and just recently noticed that the program has been really updated. I would assume you have the new software since you can't really do much without the program telling you their is an update.

Hopefully I get time to hook mine up this week since I'll have people over and want my stilleto for background music. I'll try to get my Harmony updated and let you know.

Almost forgot, how cool would it be if Sirius and Logitech hook up for an update to the conductor. http://www.tss-radio.com/sirius-cond...em-p-3901.html

I just added my Home Dock to my Harmony Hardware list. Tonight I have to hook up my remote so that it updates. Pretty cool that I can update it online without having the remote. I did have to type in the model name (SLH1) but not sure if it will control it properly until I try.

Does the Harmony take incoming messages too? I didn't think it did. Now that I am actually writing, I figure you were not talking about the 880 remote. On that note, yes it would be cool if logitech updated the harmony. That remote looks like crap.

Probably doesn't take incoming messages but it probably wouldn't be that difficult for Logitech to get it to work. Hell that remote is so ahead of other remotes I have seen reasonably priced and available at non-specialty retail stores. Some of the really high end remotes might be better but the price point of the harmony's are great.

I like this remote.

Haven't had any problem programming my URC MX-700. This one of the reasons why I don't like the Harmony, not enough flexability.

Harmony's should allow you to upload the codes if you are the first one to get the device
