Default Stiletto Signal Drop

Strangest thing, today at about 4.45pm (est) my stiletto went from 3 bars to "antenna not detected" for about 5 mintues. I shut down, unplugged the power cord on the car dock and the antenna on the dock and plugged everything in. Unit came back on, still with no antenna detected and then after like 2 minutes, it just started working.

Same thing here in Sidney Ohio. I had 2 units on, When the Stiletto went out I then turned on my old Xact and it was not getting a signal. Everything is fine right now. Your right, very strange!

Nice to know it wasn't just me. I instantly got so pissed. I was sure that my Stiletto had frozen or became screwed up somehow.

Funny how fast I go from content to miserable just because my satelitte radio goes out.

Same happened to me in Mass.

Same thing happened to me. Herndon VA. I undocked my stiletto and took out the battery. After a LOOOOG reboot of my stilletto I had 3 bars and it was working again.

Maybe is was just sun spots...

Or the Tarksistions (who are obviously reptilian). They're always starting trouble.

I thought it was just me. But it happened sometime between 2:00 and 3:00 pm est, and lasted less than a minute. Signal even came back during the same song. Do they do periodic updates of the repeaters?

Default Sirius Website

I mentioned this on another thread a while ago.

But doesn't it make sense for Sirius to add a "System Status Updates" page to their website? They could very easily post information about blackouts and updates and soforth. It seems like a pretty simple (and cheap) customer service service that they could offer.

I wouldn't dare mess up Riley's Symbols. Who knows what he would turn me into?

This would be a great idea and the very reason it will never happen. Heck when they updated the S50, we never got anything telling us what they addressed. This first update of the Stiletto, you will find nothing official indicating what was updated and/or fixed. SIRIUS Corporate has a major subscriber disconnect and they appear to be oblivious as to the value of keeping subscribers informed. I have never understood the big disconnect even between SIRIUS and the online world in releasing information, but the totally 100% refuse to cooperate!

You know, I had offered before to provide consulting services for Sirius. I had asked for airfare to NYC and nothing else.

I'm changing my offer. I will be in New York December 14th through the 17th, I've already paid for the flight. My hotel is already booked a few blocks from their studios, and I'm still available for consultation. Take me to lunch at a nice deli. We'll talk business, so it will be tax deductible.

I'm very sincere and will guarantee positive results.

I also experienced this signal drop in the Detroit area at about 4:45 pm. I thought it was a stiletto snafu. Glad to hear it was not.
