Default Channel 185 - strange Stiletto behavior

So I drove from GA to PA today (nightmare trip). While going though the dial, I stopped at channel 185...not too familiar with it, but what the hell. When I tuned to this channel, I noticed the "Satellite" indicator and the signal bars disappeared from the display. I tried other channels, and of course it works on all others.

Any reason why the mode indicator and signal bars would disappear from the display on ch 185? Anyone else's Stiletto do this?

um, because yours doesn't get ch.185, a telephone voice-style Canadian Weather Network?

I'll double check when I have time in the next hour and see.

Just tried 185. "Satellite mode" with 3 bars on stiletto.

I do get 185. I was listening to it on my drive up; that's how I saw this issue.

Tried it again, no Satellite at the bottom of my screen, and no signal bars.

Very strange. Oh well.

One thing I noticed while in a repeater area while listening to the Stiletto in Philly was that it was three bars while listening to The Pulse, and without moving, it went to zero for about 6 seconds (resulting in a dropout) then back to three bars.
