Default AC power adapter for home dock

I got my home dock a couple days ago from Crutchfeild. I notice when the power adapter is plugged in it has a high pitch whine sound. No noise from the dock. Just the little box that is plugged into the wall, and only makes the sound when the 100 is on in the dock. Kind of bugging me a little. I am wondering if anyone else notices this sound with there unit? If others are not hearing it. Then I want to exchange for another. Or maybe they can send me a new power adapter. Are any of you hearing this sound? Or do you hear no such sound?

The adaptor that came WITH my Stiletto did that. It seemed to get louder once the battery was fully charged.

The adaptors that came with my home docks don't seem to make the noise.

The docks that with my home docks were made by 'Leader Electronics Inc.', the docks that came with the Stiletto itself, have a different manufacturer name on them. I don't have the other adaptor with me to tell you the name on it. If anybody else has had a similar experience I'd be interested in knowing.

It seems the high pitch noise comes, and goes. So for now I'm going to keep an eye on it before I decide to exchange for a new unit. I asked Crutchfeild if they sell the ac power adapter seperately. They said no. Anyone seen the ac power adapter sold as a individual peice? At this point I'm not sure if it will get worse. Rather than doing a exchange. I'd just assume get a new power adapter. Will see to be continued. Anyone else...

I looked at my power adapters side by side. The home kit adapter, and the one that came with the Stiletto. Mine are absolutely identical. Size is the same. Sirius on front is the same. Label next to the plug is the same. Male plug that goes into unit is the same. Which tells me if I want I can just use the power adapter from the stiletto on the home dock. Or vice versa for that matter. If I find that I need to do that.

Last night I put my Stiletto in sleep mode while in the home dock, and the noise was unbearable. Once I woke it up, it went away. Was this issue ever resolved?

Default Buzzing noise with power adapter

The Power adapter with my Stiletto has a buzzing noise when plugged into the dock and it gets worse when you plug in the Stiletto and extra battery. When I use the other power adapter that came with the dock the buzzing is hardly noticeable. It's still there but you have to really put your ear up to the adapter in the plug to hear it. I'm glad I'm not the only one this is happening to. Seems to be charging and working o.k. otherwise. Anyone know if this is a defect or a problem?

Thanks,

Rob

I just did the same thing. I disconnected the plug that came with the home dock, and used the one that came with the actual Stiletto, and bye bye high pitched noise! Weird...

My experience is that the buzzing only comes when one or both of the batteries is actively charging. Probably and inductor screaming or something.
