Default Headphone suggestions for Sirius

I would like to start up a little think tank for what Sirius and the guys at DEI should do for the atrocity that is the supplied headphones. Because they evidentally did not test these on any living human.
First off, people that have these, should be given a rebate or coupon for a free upgrade or replacement pair once they become available. they are honestly torture devices. Not to mention not really all that effective for signal. Though they do help. If you stay still that is.

I suggest a pair of those "over the ear cup" that attach around the ear types. While they are my other least favorite styles, they would be great for the antenna. There could be the equivilent of a dot micro in each one giving a more omni-directional approach.
Or simply ofer a "high gain" pair as an option. Because this thing needs another accessory to make it work you know. Make them standard over the head and OVER THE EAR speakers. But as opposed to the nearly non existant signal the current ones pull in, lets have these actually do some good. I would even trade off a few minutes of battery power if it was necessary.
How about your ideas.

Lightbulb How about an In-Line antenna?

I personally wouldn't hold my breath for a rebate, but a discount would make the decision to upgrade much easier.

Since everybody seems to dig their own personal headphones and style, ear cups, over the head, buds, etc, I think they would get a lot more sales if they didn't market antenna headphones, but instead created some sort of 'in-line' antenna that we can plug our own phones into. I love my Bang and Olufsen phones, I read one guy on the forum that loves his Sennheiser's, and on and on.

Give us enough chord and a way to attach it to our own phones, hat, hoodie, hang it around our neck, place it on the window sill next to us, or whatever, and then let us plug our own phones into it. I guarantee that if the reception is decent enough, you will never hear us complain. . . at least about discomfort or sound quality.

Default Prototype In-Line antenna has already been released!

Celebrities get everything first!

Flava.GIF

The prototype In-Line antenna is bigger than the production version will be, but you can clearly see that Flava is enjoying his In-Line satellite antenna with his Viking headphones.

Thats just it, these are a comple strikeout. Bad signal quality, bad sound, and unbelievably uncomfortable. I know they wont be refunding or giving rebates, but this is all a sham. They know if they put out these crap headphones, people will buy an upgraded pair.

My theory...

I think they tested the headphones on gorilla's much the same as they test drugs on mice. Gorilla's have BIG ear canals so the ear phones wouldn't hurt them like they do regular humans.
