Default Car Kit

I just installed my car kit today. Plan on having a direct connect installed to the aux in port on the back of my factory stereo this Friday, but used the wireless FM transmitter tonight. I actually thought the sound quality was still pretty good. Didn't notice much difference from my old Sportster Replay (pre-FCC crackdown version). I was surprised after hearing all the complaints on here.

I didn't have much luck with the FM transmit. It seems that every FM station here picks up some sort of radio station. It's funny, but with that many options, I should have found enough to listen to that I wouldn't have had to subscribe to Sirius to find something actually worth listening to.

I'm guessing that you have some open channels on your dial.

Could be, I live in Iowa. I suppose it will depend on the day and time of day as well. That's why I'm still going to go with a direct connection. I assume it should sound a lot better.

It will pay for itself if you take a road trip.
