Default I may need professional help

This thing is taking over my life. I am heading out to Circuit City as soon as they open for the home dock and a couple of more mini pin adapters.

Mini pins? You mean to go into the headphone out to use RCA cables to attach to home stereo. That is what my cheap ass is doing for home and in my car, and then a casette adapter in wifes car. No car docks for me. I may consider the home dock for charging. But first things first, I want better sat antenna headphones and reception.

I don't see how your reception is going to get any better without the home kit antenna. It is what it is. If you're near a repeater the Stiletto is outstanding but if you're not then reception isn't suddenly going to get better one day.

With that rebate deal on the home or car kits, I think I may look into the home kit. But primarily for the battery charger. And I guess for recording some channels at night the improved signal would be nice. I get reception in some areas of the house. I am just on the fringe of the repeater which is in Indianapolis. I am too far north to get a real consistant signal though.

It sucks that we have to buy the docks separately, but the improved reception that you get from both home and car docks makes it worth it.

Let go of your anger, swallow your consumer pride, and buy the docks.

Reducing your frustration level with better reception will make it a much more enjoyable experience.

I do not get it either. I just picked up the home dock and was expecting to get out the ladder and screw gun to mount the antenna on the roof or eave or something like that. It is an indoor antenna and it is working great! I could not even get replays when I was outdoors with the antenna headset but am now getting replays from the indoor antenna. I do not think it has dropped the connection once. Strange.

Scavenger hold your judgement on that till you go through a whole day. You'll find with the moving sats that in most cases you will need to get that antenna outside, unless you are getting a terrestrial signal.

I agree with all of that. But doing those things makes this mereley another plug and play except with recording ability and costing us a WHOLE LOT MORE. I want to be able to grab this from my car to my wifes, to in the yard in one fast swoop. There has got to be a better headset antenna coming. And hopefully soon.
I would also like to see them do what they can to help by adding more repeaters. Or at least a functioning internal antenna of the unit.
