Default Car Dock not so sticky

Hi, I have my car dock mounted in my Element. For those of you who own an Element I placed it right in front of the aux input. The area I put it on is curved, so I held the suction cup mount down for a few minutes to let it set. I checked today and saw that the rear part of the suction is raised, however the front is still firmly in place. Is there any other stuff I can get to put under the suction? I want it to be removable in thr future though, because I might do a trade in for another Element soon!

Maybe one of these will work for you. I found out about these clips from me_rubin. I bought one and it is great.

Clip #1

Clip #2

They are removable and very easy to install.

Well I think I want to just remount my car dock, but the 3M tape on the mount is weak now. Would it be safe to buy some double sided tape from Lowes and razor the old 3M tape off and remount?

In the end, I pulled off all of the adhesive from the dash mount, and bought indoor/outdoor double sided tape which looks exectly like the adhesive originally used, and applied.. Worked like a charm and looks like the original!

I had the same exact problem with the sticky mount for my S50. I purchased 3M double sided strip adhesive and it worked like a charm.

That's the way to do it.

Important tips:

Prep the area really good before sticking it. Hold for as long as you can stand if you cant clamp it. Don't put the device on it for 24 hours. Keep pushing it down all around the base until then.
