Default Live recording = Poor Quality

How come the quality of live recordings has terrible playback compared to transfers from a PC? What is the bitrate of a recorded song?

your recording quality should be the same as the live satellite quality. if it isn't you've got a problem somewhere that you probably won't be able to fix.

it's funny I was listening to a recorded show yesterday with my ipod earbuds in and I heard a lot of weird hissing. This was the first time using the home dock for the stiletto so I immediately blamed that. I took the earbud out of my right ear and it went away. Lo and behold, the right earbud is basically broken. I used a different set of headphones and it's nice and clear.
