With the Stiletto and some of the plug and play's Sirius is "getting there" but still I feel XM's units are so far ahead. At least as for what people want. take the Sportscaster for example. How freaking cool?! If Sirius had a setup like that, thats how I would go. It is a plain jane plug and play, but they also sell a battery and headphone kit to make it portable! And there is a good chance it works! And the idea of those mini-tuners that is about the size of a memory card?! Brilliant!
I have had Sirius in my car going on 4 years and love it so would never leave. but whn I am in the yard i want to hear it, or hop into wifeys car I want to hear it. So I tried the One, not for me, too cheapy and hard to "grab and go". Now I am trying the Stiletto. With much better feeling of "this is cool" but still not covering all of the bases. Primarily in the yard on the go reception. Word has it from reviews XM's Inno line recievs broadcasts much better. And they at least throw in a home kit. I know I know a rebate now, but still it is a rebate with stipulation of where and when its bought.
So come on Sirius, you have the better programming. Just steal some of those Xm designers away and make us really happy by also having the best equipment options.

I think you better try one in your area before you start bragging. I have an Inno and for where I live I get no better reception with it than I do with my Stiletto. Grant it XM because of the Stationary sats has better home coverage and with the huge repeater networks, should have much better portable reception. But when comparing apples to apples, you find they are pretty close. Having had most of the XM tuners, I've not found one yet I like better than my Stiletto and that includes the Inno.

I do give XM credit though because they do keep pushing the envelope and it is the competition between these two companies that keeps making equipment better and better.

One thing that you've said that I agree with though is they really should make an antenna that plugs into the Stiletto without the need for the headphones. The antenna needs to be much stronger there is no denying that, but fortunate for where I am located I've had good luck with the current one, but I understand for most the results are pretty sad.

Portability factor previously discussed at length here as well.

All of the things you mentioned have been discussed here in length. The fact that you made a fairly expensive purchased without the proper research is your fault not Sirius'.

This is why they included them for free, because they felt it was necessary, you didn't get the clue?

Who's fault is that? I've had this tuner for going on 2 months now I must say the more I use the more pleased I am. But then I understood what I was getting before I got it.

I use mine in 7 different offices, hotel rooms, coffee shops, restrurants, deli's, home, in my truck, company van and I've also used it at family and friends homes. I've mowed my grass, raked my yard and hung Christmas decorations all while portable (live). I have a Soloist for use in my bedroom, boombox for use with family gatherings while home or away from home, rather inside or out, plus a home kit that I use at my desk. What do you mean you can't use it anywhere? LOL No I can't get wifi reception just anywhere or have live reception, but I've got 18 radio replay channels and stored content to last for days. There is never a time I can't use this device... NEVER!

Well did you expect you'd get magical reception. If you don't have line of site to the satellites and no repeater in your area... how on earth would it get a signal?

All of which you should have known before you purchased it, but apparently you did no homework prior to purchasing, but as the previous poster said.. ALL of these TOPICS have been discussed over and over.

Really I think WiFi is one of my favorite new features to the realm of Satellite radio. I have the car and home docks and then I tend to use WiFi the rest of the time in this facility, like out in the garage while I'm insulating.

If they get the premium stream thing sorted out, they've probably secured 3 bucks more a month out of me.

to get passed over.

More ASSumptions by whitey americana ON TOP OF the entire thought is being held together by this one UNknown guess.

The funny thing is these people never seem to realize they have 30 days to try these things out and can return them..

They're the same people over on Howard Forums whining about how the 'cellular company screwed them' because they 'have had no coverage since day 1' and now they're 'stuck in a contract'.

Cool

One thing about the FM Modulator. I was lazy about taking apart my dash to get to the back of my radio so, I've opted for the FM Mod antenna. I got the little wire that attaches to the FM out jack and was pleasantly surprised that the sound improved 100%. I admit I'm not an audiophile so, I can't attest to the purity of the sound. But as far as clarity, as soon as Stiletto powers up I hear the static totally disappear and the quality of the sound is great to my ears.
