Talking Car Dock... finally installed...

Well I finally removed my S50 Car Dock and installed my new Stiletto Car dock today with the FM Direct Adapter. I must say I really like the dock compared to the S50's. No more loose S50 bouncing around since now I can lock in my Stiletto. My S50 is now staying in the house only no more road trips for it.

Looks great!! Thanks.

How solid is that mount? Is that from the s50?

You should try a pro clip mount. I used one in my car and it is perfect.

I'll take some pics of mine tomorrow.

Yes, I reused the S50's mount since it was longer. The mount is very steady. I thought it might not be since the Stiletto is much heavier compared to the S50, but it's working out fine. There is a flat area right below the radio that I attached the mount to.

Now to go put bandaids on my knuckles from tearing the dash totally apart to get the factory radio out.... $%@#%$# Pontiac. (Company car so I can't mess with it too much.) I can tell you the FM adapter is staying in once the car is turned in. LOL

What's the Pro Clip mount? Pics - Cool.....

That looks easy. How does your Stiletto attach to the clip? Pre drilled hole or adhesive?

The ProClip had the pre-drilled AMPS pattern. I used the four screws from the car kit and I was good to go. It fit perfectly.

Thumbs up

I think I'll order one. Sometimes my leg kicks over and knocks around my mount. With the clip it will be up and out of the way.

~thanks

I am actually thinking about ordering one of these for my truck. I like where I have mine mounted now, but this would be so much better....

I ordered my Car Kit from CF. I got it about 3 weeks later. I have yet to see one in stores anywhere. Those darn PS3 and Wii people must be buying them all up too..... LMAO...

I got my mount from http://www.cellularmount.com for both my vehicles. I will try and take a pic of the highlander mount tomorrow. It's a metal mount, so it's very sturdy. We have a Stratus in the Highlander but I ordered one for my Corolla too for when I get my car kit.
