Sirius Studio is not finding my stiletto. I installed the software and xp detects it but not showing up as a device? Any ideas.. This is a brand new laptop. So this was a clean install..

How are you trying to connect to MSS? The home dock? Or by using the USB cable?

Are you plugging the USB into a hub or directly to the computer?

Does the laptop have USB 1 or 2? My work computer refuses to see my Stiletto because it says it's a high speed device plugged into a slow speed port.

Maybe try uninstalling and plugging the Stiletto in sans software and see if it finds it as an alien device. THEN re-install.

I had the same exact problem. Sirius Studio and Yahoo Music would not recognize the Stiletto at times. Other times it worked fine. The inconsistency did not make any sense. I uninstalled and reinstalled MSS software a couple of times. I upgraded to the latest version of Windows Media Player. I tried everything under the sun but nothing worked.

Finally, I came to the conclusion that it was possible there was nothing I could do as my Stiletto or USB cable might have been defective. I returned my Stiletto and swapped it with a new one. And it works fine now. So in my case, something was defective. I figured that wouldn't have been the case since everything else worked fine. You just never know.

Maybe you're having the same problem.

I was just having the same problem. I tried the reset that is posted as a sticky, and it worked. Now it can connect to MSS and Yahoo again. Give it a try.

I have connected it on my other pc.. so I know its not broke... You really think resetting it will help? and I believe all usb are usb 2.. So I am assuming this could be the problem.. Not sure how to fix it...
