Question two questions

I got 2 questions.
1. I read the faq and it said if I tune to a channel and it is half way threw a song and I hit the love button it will only save the song where I started from. I thought I heard a review somewhere that said it didn't matter where you hit the love button at.
2. I have felt the Stiletto at Best Buy for a short time, my question is can you feel the play fastforward buttons or are they like a touch screen thing? I only really noticed the dile and the power switch so I was want to clear that up for myself. Thanks!

1 - not in my experience. Often the start of the song is clipped even if I've been listening to it from the start. It seems to pick it up from when the display changes.

2 - The FF and Rew are buttons underneath the wheel, so you'd push the side of the wheel to make it go back or forward.

There's two different scenarios involved here:

If you tune to a channel halfway thru a song, how in the world would the device be able to retrieve what was played BEFORE you were on that channel? it will only save what it has captured since you tuned to that channel.

However, if you are listening to a channel from the beginning of a song, it doesn't matter when you hit the LOVE button, (as long as its during the song, I think is how the Stiletto operates) it will record the whole song. The difference being whether the device has buffered the song or not.

can't help on #2, I've only held the box...

TheScionicMan is exactly right. However, I too have had clipped songs either at the beginning or the end due to the text information changing, which is apparently what it uses for the beginning and the end of the recording. So, don't count on using this very good clean copies. Oh you may get them, but most of the time I find they get clipped. This is why I have Yahoo To Go, I just bookmark it then download a clean 192kb version wma.

Most of my songs are clipped or have alot of babbling going on. Some Dj's or even stations seem to be better than others.

It's too bad you can download a song when you leave it on for an hour and then back it up to see what has been played.

If you are listening to a song from the beginning then half-way through you hit the love button it will record the entire song (even before you hit the button,) It gets the info from the buffer.
