I'll see how good they are.
<$230 for a 100 w/ home kit & 2day ship after all discounts and rebate was too tempting to pass up.

Ordered on sirius store 12/16.
I received package on 12/19.
Heck, I got my confirmation of shipping email AFTER I opened the box!

I can't really complain.

Bootman,
do you know if the Stiletto 100 comes with any warranty if you order online from www.sirius.com? I am also tempted to buy online because of the great deal, but the only thing preventing me from doing this is in case it would break or if there would be something wrong with it. I may hold out until Best Buy has a sale ( because of the extended warranty). I just don't want to be SOL if six months from now it quits working. What is the warranty (if any)?

The product itself carries a 12 month limited warranty on parts and labor. The issue is if you drop it or otherwise damage it in some way that the limited warranty does not cover it. From the warranty support received from the s50 claims, it has shown to be rather poor support. It does seem to be getting better lately.

The good deal about exteneded warranty support from CC and BB is that they usually let you come in and just do an exchange which eliminates the entire hastle factor. The downside is you have to pay extra for this extended warrant protection.

Bottom line: You do get 12months should it just fail through no fault of your own.

This place is a total nightmare to do business with and I'd avoid it like the plague.
I ordered my Stiletto from Sirius in October and received it in a timely manner. I had no problems with my order. Perhaps they are getting their act together.

After Circuit City cancelled my S50 extended warranty (still waiting for the reason) I went with the sirius.com and AAA discount. By the time I need to take advantage of the extended coverage the Sitletto will be down in the $100 range like the S50! I'll take the $84 AAA discount and the $80 for a CC extended warranty and be able to put the $164 total in the bank for my own replacement coverage.

Huge thanks to Axgrinder for pointing me to the AAA discount.

No problem, VDCHawk.
You could actually thank another poster "tipton" for the 20% AAA discount mention. I found out about this from him in a former post: http://www.siriusbackstage.com/forum...t=91343&page=2

Let me know how it goes. I would love a Stiletto myself, but am hesitant to buy off the Sirius website due to all the negative posts i've read. Maybe i'll wait until Best Buy has a sale, hopefully coming soon...

Default Rebate Question

Can you use the holiday20, AAA 20%, and still get the 70 dollar rebate.

This is what i get when i'm trying to order the Stiletto 100 w/ the vechicle kit/or home kit...

Stiletto bundle Total = $419.99
The AAA rebate is $84.00
(you must access this thru AAA's website)

$419.99
- $84.00 (20% AAA discount)
-----------
$335.99

The next thing is the coupon code.
Type: Holiday20

$335.99
- $48.38 (Coupon code discount)
------------
$287.61

The rebate is $70.00. You will print this off the website and mail it in.

$287.61 (total you pay now)
- $70.00 (mail in rebate)
-------------
***$217.61 for the Stiletto 100 and Vechicle/or Home Kit

$217.61 sounds too good to be true for the Stiletto 100 AND kit, so hopefully this is right and not a mistake.

my big issue is should i order the stiletto 100 with the vehicle kit for 287minus 70 rebate? or should i just get it with no kit at all? the rebate is only valid if you activate the radio by 12/31/06 and with sirius.com known to delay its shipments, i might not get the radio until 2007 and then the rebate is void. Any suggestions?

Default AAA membership

Any idea how to get a trial or temporary membership if someone is not a member? I sure would like the 20% discount.

Or if a family member (like a daughter) has AAA, could you use her membership for the discount?

Great Customer Support!!!

Called in today to ask when my order from last Thursday would ship. They claim that it takes 2 days to process, and they did not ship on Monday(xmas). So the good news is it should ship today.

While I was on the phone I mentioned to the rep that I had applied the AAA discount but forgot to enter my HOLIDAY20 code. He talked with a supervisor, and they put a $80 + Tax credit on my account. This should cover my first year as a secondary receiver.

Never hurts to ask.
