If I pay the extra fee for "Internet Radio Plus" will it also improve the sound quality of my Stiletto when listening WiFi?

Not at this time. So unless you only want to listen with your computer, don't pay the extra for CD quality sound.

There were some comments that in the future that might be coming. The issue might be that with the increased bitrate, the unit might be buffering much more and interrupting your listening pleasure. With your computer using 802.11G wireless or 10 or 100mbs wired, the buffering is not an issue.

Which makes me wonder...the Stiletto only receives wireless B. Unless I'm mistaken (and somebody correct me if I am) that is hardware and thus it cannot be upgraded to receive wireless G with a firmware upgrade. It makes me think that they are holding out that capacity for a new Stiletto version. Any thoughts on that?

This is correct, but remember 802.11 B peaks at 11mb/s where as your avg. home broadband connection is between 1-5mb/s. "B" is more than capable of increased audio, let alone video.

But remember 11mb/s is the best 802.11b gives you. Depending on distance it can quickly drop down to as low as 1 or 2 at 30 ft from your access point.

I'm sure they chose B because of cost and reliebility of the standard. There are lots of G's out there that siill don't talk to each other. All those pre-releases and speeded up versions. Many people never upgraded the firmware of their routers and access points. And N is just too new all together.

Even at a degraded 1Mb signal, 128K is roughly 10% of the bandwidth, which isn't a big bite. I stream (shhh...don't tell my wireless carrier) over my Q at the higher bitrate, and I have zero problems. (Except for Sirius' inability to keep the performance consistently good.)

I hope they add this to the device. It really makes a big difference on my Q.

128KB won't be a problem for the Stiletto provided that bandwidth is there. If you go to a hot spot where there are several people online and limited bandwidth then this could indeed cause a rebuffering problem. I don't think they should add the 128KB streaming to the Stiletto unless they can make it configurable to the network. So if you are on a low bandwidth network, you can tell it to stream at the lower bitrate.
