The WiFi can't be beat either. I have wireless in my house. Now when I do a home project, I turn on stiletto with no dock and plug into my Dewalt radio aux (1/8 to 1/8 adapter $5 radio shack). Before I would turn on my S50 in my car and pick up the FM signal on my Dewalt but that would be choppy sometimes and if you got tired of that station, you had to go outside to change the station. For each their own.

Yeah the Stiletto is huge! It fits in a pocket but nothing else can, so it must be too big! Man, I'm going to have be part of the laughing stock of the satellite radio industry. WHOA, I care so little I almost passed out.

And thats how the post should be " not for you"
Thats cool, but junk, Dont think so.
S50 to me was an iPod wanna be, not a satelite radio. My iRiver did what a S50 did, that was 'not for me",
Didnt call the S50 a dude though.

WiFi put it over the top

Besides, if you understand sat radio, reception is a given.

Yes and in my opinion the dock on the Stiletto matches it as well, plus it offers presets and direct tuning.

Your arguments are nothing more than your preference vs someone else's and it's silly.

So, you got the Stiletto and you didn't care for it. These moron's at this men's magazine haven't a clue what they are talking about. Clearly this person that did the review hasn't a clue how Sat Radio works. This is the problem with these type magazines doing reviews.

I think the S50 is a great device. I got one the first day it came out and used it for almost a year. I sold it recently along with the docks and was able to apply that money $200 to the Stiletto. While I loved my S50 and enjoyed it a great deal, the Stiletto is miles ahead in the freedom it offers. I was never able to listen live in my various offices. The Wifi feature on the Stiletto give it a clear advantage. The menu's are better and the because this unit is totally self contained and doesn't rely on a cradle for live reception it is much more stable too.

Has anyone checked the circulation numbers for the Men's Style Magazine... Talk about DUD of the YEAR! LOL

Men's Style? Do you pick your favorite sports teams by who has the cutest uniforms? Form over function is useless, IMO. Who are you trying to impress?

I nominate this for Gheyest Thread of 2006. Way to slip it in under the deadline...

I can see where they came up with this.

Of course, we knew here that satellite reception would not be all that great, but how is the casual consumer supposed to know that? Most people don't come to Backstage or wherever and read that.

And really, compared to other devices (non-satellite radio) the Stiletto isn't all that special, yea, it's nice, but nothing that new. And one can't overlook that $350 pricetag! If satellite radio wants to win they're gonna need to do better, and I'm sure they will.

Mike that is a freaking preference! I have no problem with the Pearl on the back and you are the only person I've seen mention it. I agree all black would be nice, but does it really kill the looks. I say NO!

Google search for "stiletto reception". Anyone that hasn't read the forums here is a moron:

My only question is how much did the RIAA hinder their efforts to sell these things ? or cripple it ?

Uh yes...Men's Style magazine. This is the same publication that lists "Hand-Knit Monster Mitts" as one of their "10 Fashion Essentials."

Let's see; I'm a potential Stiletto buyer. Do I give more credibility to a technology site like CNET.com which gives it an 8/10 or a men's fashion magazine that pushes "Monster Mitts" and calls the Stiletto a dud?

I bet you're just pissed because you couldn't operate the Stiletto wearing those ridiculous Monster Mitts.

Always consider the source. For example, you're the same person that started a post claiming Sirius was "anti-semetic" (it's spelled s-e-m-i-t-i-c," BTW.) And you had the nerve to call someone else a dumbass?

This is not the website for "Men's Style Magazine" this is the website for GQ and Details, you can LOL at their circulation. This will most likely be published in either or both magazines.
