jfranklin, I just walked directly away from my access point, got between 60 and 70 paces away before it dropped. At a minimum of 2 feet per pace, I was at minimum 120 feet away. Most likely 150+ as I think each of my paces is more like 3 feet.

I do have a commercial A/B/G access point mounted at ceiling height.

I actually have two Access Points. One in the basement and one on the top floor. The one on the top floor works all the way up the street, two houses away.

Placement is very critical. You can do things to get more distance like bigger antennas as well as add repeaters.

Hello everyone! I'm a new forum member and have a question on the stiletto 100 and creating playlists. I can create playlists but then when I power the unit down and back on again the playlists have ".pla" at the end of them. Also, sometimes when I add a playlist and drag some songs over to it it creates duplicate tracks in the playlist and when I try to delete them it creates multiple playlists. Very strange. Any ideas what is happening?

Thanks,
Gary

My two cents for updates:

1) Game Alerts should stay on and should be above the battery (and hopefully a clock) symbol. Just like on my S50. Currently the alerts only stay on for a few seconds and cover the symbols.
2) Previous channel (S50 has it)
3) Clock
Not sure why they did't just copy the S50's firmware.

Welcome to the SBS forum. You have a lot of reading to do, start with the last year of S50 bugs.

Couple things.

1) Scheduled channel switching/device wake up without recording. I would like the radio to wake up in the morning, go to station X automatically, but not record. I just want to listen live. This is a nice to have, but low on my list.

2) The device goes back into what ever mode it was in when it was put to sleep... EXCEPT SIR. There you have to manually go back. The device knows it was last in SIR mode, it can know what SIR channel it was listening to. When it wakes up, auto connect to the strongest wifi signal/network choice page, and reconnect to the last SIR channel it was on. This would be a really nice to have.

These are my 2 as listed above:

Detect and warn on "Loving" duplicate songs.
Sell antenna on a cord with clip, for those of us that use our own headphones, but want a separate antenna for portable use.

Don't Even Think about it. Not one thought....

Next thing you know you'll want them to use the same hardware too!

I would like to see a menu path that would allow you to go back to the beginning of a replay or any recording for that matter. Just hit the options button and select "return to beginning" or something. My replay recordings can get quite long (18 hours) which is great but if I want to replay it can take a lot of clicks to go back.
The Stiletto is very cool! And thanks to DAB for giving me a clue about the replays. I use them all the time.

hey guys,
just wondering if this is the right avenue to persue, to best infulence sirius's tech department. Is there a mainline between this forum and the company? Is there an e-mail to contact the company?

Basically i'm wondering if our needs are being heard?

Thanks.

What needs might that be?

It isn't support that you need to influence it would be the design team and no there is no direct contact with them that I am aware of that folks can email.

I wish I could set my SL10's artist song alerts to stay on screen a bit longer.

And I want the unit to have a sleep timer and an automatic wake-up alarm built into the software!

what are the chances?

well I'm asking about the team in charge of the firmware updates, whatever title you want to give it. I'm asking if these suggestions we propose get read through this forum, or if this is just a "wish list", with no real awareness from the sirius design team?

There is awareness and that is as much as I can say!

Default Enhancements

Please forgive me if this is already in here. I only have so many hours in a day, and I have tried to find this in the enhancement list. If it is redundant, I apologize.

With my job, I travel every week. Usually, I am not near a window and most sites that I am working at don't allow streaming of sirius content over the web. (Some sites, I have no internet access at all.)

So, I was excited about the Stiletto. I thought I could bring it with me on the road, and record shows at night to listen to the next day. Here are two problems I have, that are related.

1) Automatic recording won't work unless there is electric connected to the Stiletto. In my hotel room, this doesn't work. I can't even connect electric to the thing while the antenna headset is plugged in. So, does this mean my only option is to buy a home dock and drag that with me on the plane every week? This is no more "portable" than my Sportser with homedock. So, my enhancement request is that I be able to automatically wake up and record, somehow, without dragging a home dock to the hotel.
2) A similar request, but unrelated to recording. Why can't I hook power to the Stiletto while the antenna headset is on? I should be able to listen to the Stiletto while it is plugged into the wall and charging.

Thank you.
