With my job, I travel every week. Usually, I am not near a window and most sites that I am working at don't allow streaming of sirius content over the web. (Some sites, I have no internet access at all.)

So, I was excited about the Stiletto. I thought I could bring it with me on the road, and record shows at night to listen to the next day. Here are two problems I have, that are related.

1) Automatic recording won't work unless there is electric connected to the Stiletto. In my hotel room, this doesn't work. I can't even connect electric to the thing while the antenna headset is plugged in. So, does this mean my only option is to buy a home dock and drag that with me on the plane every week? This is no more "portable" than my Sportser with homedock. So, my enhancement request is that I be able to automatically wake up and record, somehow, without dragging a home dock to the hotel.
2) A similar request, but unrelated to recording. Why can't I hook power to the Stiletto while the antenna headset is on? I should be able to listen to the Stiletto while it is plugged into the wall and charging.

Thank you.
Some folks here on the forum have found it useful to (shave) the side of the antenna plug so that both the antenna/headphones and the power adapter will fit in the stiletto together. However you must be careful as not to damage the antenna. I personally had to take a little off the power adapter end AND the antenna end. If it was me I would just buy the homedock...its not that big...good luck

Hey, thanks for that tip. I was afraid to try it. I will now.

Do you know if it will wake up and record then, without the home kit??

If so, I'm going to like this thing alot better!

I have actually used this method, since I did this, I will have my stiletto in the car, plug in the antenna headphones, place them on the dash and plug in another set of headphones and every now and then it will randomly detect the set-up as a dock (not sure which as I don't own either), I can tell because it raises the volume significantly and shows the little green plus by the battery (it might just be me but you have to plugged into a power source to charge and the ANT headphone don't give power, they actually pull power.) This does not bother me, I just unplug the ANT headphones and plug them back in and it works fine.

Sounds like the connector is being pushed to the side, possibly shorting something and causing it to look like a dock.
