Default Power plug doesn't work with Antenna at the same time!

Just a quick venting of my frustrations.... I can't believe that they put the power plug in the way of the antenna headphone jack on the bottom of the device. I am travelling and can get a pretty decent signal with the headphones in at my families home in MI, but I can't power the unit at the same time. So the battery drains if I listen for a while. You should be able to listen and plug in the power at the same time.......
I am sure they did this so the user would HAVE to buy a home dock or something, but I don't think allowing the antenna headphones to be used AND be plugged in to AC is too much....

ok got it off my chest.....

Yep, that has been a long known problem. I think it is a way for them to make you get a home dock but it goes deeper than that - you can't timer record as they have it set up. In other words, the timer will work ONLY if you have AC power, it will not work with battery power.

So, how does one set the timer for future recordings? Only two ways: you either have to leave the Stiletto outside and plugged into an outlet and hope the built in antenna will provide adequate signal strength throughout the entire program, OR, buy a home dock. I came across this problem early on when I tried to time record my opera broadcasts on the Metropolitan Opera channel. I could not "love" record the opera because "love" recording recognizes only songs, not entire programs. If I turned it on to record the opera at the start, it would record Act 1 only and turn off as soon as Act 2 started. The Stiletto believed each act was a separate "song" rather than part of one program. So, I had to timer record in the entire opera's length which sometimes is over 3 hours. Because I could not do this (for the reason you gave), I HAD to buy the home dock. Of course, I'm glad I did as it has made a world of difference in lots of ways but that is besides the point. They should have allowed both the power cable and antenna plug to fit at the same time.

Absolutely agree... and yep it has been a noted problem... I just had to vent! haha! Perhaps someone will make an aftermarket headset that will allow both!
Not holding my breath....
