Default Sirius Reception differences per unit

I've already bought and returned the Stilletto 100 and home kit due to very poor reception at my home and no reception at work. Is it possible that the Sportster Replay and home kit will at least give me better service at home that the Stilleto did?

I live in Concord, CA and at some point saw that there's a repeater right near me. My XM portable works just fine, but I was really frustrated with shelling out $400+ and getting crap reception with the Stilletto.

Any chance it was must my unit or the Stilletto in particular and other Sirius products will provide the reception I need at home?

My brother lives in Concord and gets PERFECT reception indoors with his starmate. I've used my S50/car kit in Concord, SF, Berkeley, Martinez and even out toward Bakersfield and never lost signal. I've never used my Stiletto there but, judging by the reception I got with my S50, you're in HEAVY repeater area and it's the unit that is bad. My brother has his antenna in his garage, I used my S50 in a hotel room in Martinez- you're in HEAVY repeater area so the Stiletto should work perfectly.
