Default Channels Timing Out After latesy Update

I am using a Linksys WRT54GS router and the Wifi function on my 100 worked great until the latest update. Now the 100 logs on to the network fine but when I select any channel, I get a "Timed Out message" always. Any one else having this problem?

Thanks

What version firmware do you have on the router? I'm using the same model and it's working fine. I think I had updated the firmware a couple of months ago as well.

Oops, my router is WRT54GX (not GS) with firmware version 1.02.10.

Don't know if this helps at all.

Mark.

What type of encryption are you using? I was using WPA2 and could not connect. I had to switch back to WPA in order to successfuly connect.

I know it supports WEP too. But it does not support much more than those two.

I usually suggest to people no sense in buying a fancy router or access point for the stiletto use. You are better buying an old plain linksys.

According to my testing it supports Open Systems, WEP-64 bit, WEP-128 bit, WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK (these are considered WPA Personal). The Stiletto does not seem to care about the Preamble length.

Does not support WEP-152 bit, or any of the WPA with EAP user authentication(Business). It will not work on a 802.11A router, or one with the G only clients set to on, it also will not work with any proprietary "turbo" modes.

The Stiletto only works on B, not G.

On the Linksys, enable mixed mode, instead of just G.

Also, make sure that your passkey is entered correctly on the Stiletto.
