No FAVES scan on the Stiletto - but in my opinion the LOVE IT feature is a lot better. I'd rather have the song in the memory to listen to whenever I want, instead of having to wait for it to be played.

Don't know what Satellite Clock you're referring to.

I know what you're talking about now - my Sportster used to have that as well. NOPE - Stiletto doesn't do that. It would be nice to have a clock on the display though.

The Stiletto 100 doesn't have Artist/Song Seek, just the Stiletto 10.

Thats disapointing to hear. That was one of the features on my friends radio that really convinced me to get Sirius. I couldn't believe it wasn't on the Stiletto 100 when I recieved it. It is on the S10? Any reason why it isn't on both? Any chance that can be added via firmware update?

That is just so damn odd. I was under the impression that all the portable receivers did not have this feature (S50 didn't). But if they are going to implement it on the portables, why would they possibly put it on the lesser of the two Stiletto models and not the more feature-packed one? More of that infamous SIRIUS logic that's probably better off to not even think about.

This is an RIAA concession that SIRIUS made on the S100. The RIAA felt that the song/artist seek made it too easy for subscribers to build huge single artist or specific song libraries. This is also one of the reasons XM was sued because the current line of XM2Go tuners do have the song/artist seek.

If SIRIUS came back and added this feature, they would be breaking an agreement with RIAA and you can bet a lawsuit would be filed. So I would not expect to see any firmware update change this.

The reason they let the S10 slide with it, was because of the very limited recording space.

Oh yeah. Guess I should have referred to it as RIAA logic, but I still think SIRIUS caved in a little too easily to those worthless shake-down artists. And the fact they've already limited the S100 to 10 hours of loved songs just makes excluding that feature all the more ridiculous.

Oh, what the hell:

Feel free to use that as you like kiddies.

That seems a little ridiculous to me. No matter how much storage you have, you can't duplicate and transfer songs. But I guess if it makes the RIAA feel like they accomplished something, then good for them. Personally I think they are barking up the wrong tree. We are paying, focus on those who are not.

Hmm. Now I'm tempted to get the SL10. The lack of Artist seek is the only thing that is keeping me from getting the Stiletto. If it wasn't for the Artist seek on my starmate I'd be listing to Howard Stern and Bubba all day where my dial is parked until one of my favorite bands pops up and I switch to listing to music. Its nice not missing any songs by your bands , new and old. Its not same as just having a few songs saved (Loved) to your player.

DAB,

Have you heard anything lately on what the status is with the RIAA lawsuit against XM? Things seem to really die down.

Well there are always long period of time between when a lawsuit is filed and it settled or goes to court. One thing we know for sure neither of those have happened, so it is still very active and pending. I personally think XM will settle, but we'll see.

Well I don't like the limitations myself, but I think SIRIUS felt it was best to roll out this device without ending up in a long term lawsuit with the RIAA.

By the way the graphic you used doesn't meet forum guidelines so anyone using it, it will be removed.
