I did get 3 bars for a few seconds tonight . I have not had any signal losses . I used the XM which had been on the truck for a while but the SIRIUS didn`t help. I switched to the SIRIUS antenna in hopes of making the NASCAR channel sound better but it didn`t they still sound odd .
Ya mention I should check my set up , what do I check or look for ?

I have 3 bars 99.9% of the time while in the home dock, although I noticed 2 for the first time yesterday. With the headphone antenna it fluctuates between 1 and 2 bars.

Post 3 bars

so to sum things up, 1 to 2 bars kind of sucks, it should be 3 under an unobstructed sky. what we need is some kind of signal booster that plugs between headphones and the stilletto!

Can I jump in here concerning home antennas versus dot micros - I moved my office today and now am on the NE side of the building here in the northeast. Of course I need a SW line of sight to get reception. Will the dot micro help compensate for the location. Was able to get 1-2 bars in the am with the home antenna, but once the birds flew up and over, poor afternoon reception - or will the building in the way hose the dot micro? I will have to play with the right angle issue with the car antenna in the dock. Thanks...

3 bars in any dock, possible
2 bars pain phones, usually
1 bar w/ built-in , mostly
no repeaters available.

Why can't we get more bars ? there has to be a hidden field test mode in this thing with an actual rf dbi meter!
