Default "You must subscribe to listen to your library"

Within 3 hours of having activated it, I already had a problem. I pulled the radio out of the home dock after having recorded a few things, and go to library. Well, the radio decides to say "You have to have an active Sirius subscription to listen to the Library"... I plugged it back into the home dock and went to a sirius channel, and then went to library, and it still didn't work... I wound up having to pull the battery.

Is this a regular problem, and if it is, is there an easier way to fix it? Or was it just a one time, freak thing?

I recall something like this when I first got mine too. But once the tuner seemed to become fully aware that I was subscribed I never seen the issue again. Don't already start jumping to conclusions... It is almost like you are looking for a reason to take issue with it. LOL This isn't the S50.

I wasn't trying to find anything wrong with it, I was just making sure I wasn't gonna have to call sirius again . The only real odd thing I notice about it (not even problem) is that after about, oh, 5 minutes when running on battery, the display shuts COMPLETELY off. Not just shut the back light off, the display goes completely off, so you can't see which song is playing, even under direct sunlight... most other devices I have just shut the backlight off so if you were in particularly bright sunlight you can see the display (ipod, inno)

Yeah when in portable mode, you are absolutely right, there is no way to keep the display on even on low. I am pushing to see them add the always on or always off feature on the Stiletto in a ZAP update.

Yes the Inno and iPods have the transparent display, but the Stiletto does not. But to be honest when using it as a portable, I usually have it in a case or stuck in my pocket, so I am not looking at the display anyway. But this really needs to be addressed with at least allowing the display to be adjusted.

What drives me nuts is while using it in the car dock, it will be fully brite then auto-dim down to about 50%. There is no way to keep it full brite, so here you are in broad daylight with the display dimmed down to 50%. Now tell me that makes sense.

By the way I was just prodding you a little bit on looking for something wrong. LOL It isn't a perfect device by any stretch of the imgination.

It does that in the home dock too... it looks neat watching it dim down like that but you'd figure when it has constant power they wouldn't have it do that.

It's not perfect, but it seems pretty solid for having been out for as short of a time as it has... I remember reading all the horror stories when the S50 first came out I'll play with it for a couple of days before I pass complete judgement though
