Default Car dock FM transmitter is...

worthless, at least in Cincinnati. Maybe if I lived in a cave it would work, but then my car would be useless...

The direct FM Relay is your best bet. I was surprised how bad the SL100 car kit is to my Starmate Replay and Sirius One. The Relay Kit sounds better than either of those ever did. Shouldn't take more than 20-30 minutes to put in and need nothing more than a screwdriver. Most installs require popping off the dash panels which is fairly easy. Bis problem is using the force needed to remove it which may scare you and make you think you are going to break it. 4 screws usually hold the radio in place. Most cars have owners sites similar to this website and you can usually find details on how to remove the radio from them.
