I have the case with the plastic screen protector but no flap.... great for the gym, or on the belt clip. Doesn't look good, or cool at all... but does the job.

There is no set time for swapping them out. I'd say if and when the one I have gets scratch up enough that I feel it needs to be changed. Right now I've had mine on there almost since I had it and it still looks brand new. I don't imagine I'll be swapping it out anytime soon.

No doubt having the case with the overlays is the best protection you can have.

Thanks DAB. I'm new to posting but have been reading everyones tips etc. for awhile now. I own the Stiletto 100 and the Sporster 1. I love Sirius, and this Backstage Forum.

I think my leather case with the belt clip and arm band protect the screen well enough. I can't see how I'd scratch the screen. Do I really need to put the sticky overlay on?

IMO it's better to be safe than sorry. I can't even tell it's there on my Stiletto.

I agree with MM, it is better to be overly cautious than the get a scratch on it and wish you had. There is just a level of comfort that I get from knowing mine is protected. This is a big investment to make to not take the best care of it possible.
